A fun thriller that gives you the twist immediately, but has you guessing when shit is gonna pop off the whole time.
The ending is really goofy and almost gives pause to your enjoyment, but it does enough to stay on track.
I wish they had given David more characterization or given the authorities more time to develop. It would have softened the landing.

The sleazeball scooping up Candy because of a few cheek rubs is lame. But the crux of this movie hangs off of their romance and it's pretty awful. I get that it was normal during this era to treat women awfully in the domestic setting, but it's pretty hard to stomach.

Seeing this again makes me happy they're making an HBO show. These books need time. This was as condensed as you could make it, but it felt so rushed as a result. This is a great visual summary of the plot, but it skips so many things that make Goblet of Fire exciting.
