martin sheen and kirk douglas find themselves timetravelling through lockheed-martin stock footage circa 1980 to answer the ultimate question. Would Tora, Tora, Tora be better with poufy hair?

there’s not really a narrative throughline, but who needs that when you have F-14 Tomcats and lloyd kauffman in control of a United States Navy aircraft carrier.

It’s like 60 Minutes on Acid.

I love that everyone in this film is very clearly having a lot of fun. Tied with Urgh! A Music War as the best concert film of all time. Make more of those.

Very nice remaster of the film, catch it in a theatre if you can.

I’m not being facetious right now this movie works really well as a double feature with Oppenheimer. They both touch on similar themes (not joking). It’s also just a really fun watch! Surprised a major studio put it out. It’s very subversive and campy, but the good intentional kind. Watch it!

Minus one star because I hate Will Ferrell
