Men after 40: drive to the beach, play in the sand, stare at the ocean and think — maybe I just won’t go back.

Sonatine isn’t a yakuza film. It’s a film about being tired of being yakuza.
When death isn’t fear — it’s relief.
And a gunshot sounds almost like forgiveness.
