It’s an interesting perspective on female rage from the mistreatment, fetishising and objectification of women that has occurred for centuries! 

The most problematic part of this film is that it plays into the oppressive Muslim Girl trope, that all Muslim women feel oppressed by modesty and are forced into these traditions. I’d love to see a film not about that soon :) 

If you’re sexualising these girls, that’s what the film is critiquing. End of story. Die conservative right wingers in Texas, die.

Beaut of a film. I’m just angry fem, Joe’s mother  could have been replaced with a dog and the plot would have worked, almost a woman in the refrigerator trope. But the cinematography and editing maaaaaaan!!!!!
