Hunt/Cruise literally cranks the screen into 1.90:1 (coolest thing ever?) and then from there it’s ripping non-stop, M:I at it’s best from that point.
Don’t get me wrong, I still enjoy the first act. However, I’ll it that they didn’t need as much straight forward recapping and literal flashbacks to clarify a reference. Trust the fans (or just do it for the real ones!) Could’ve used a smidgen more Tillman & McCallany but I’ll take what I can get.
