I enjoyed the Japanese cultural references. I understand Japanese so watching them get lost in translation was all the more funnier. 

I loved the emphasis on human connection that both Charlotte and Bob craved even though they were both extremely disconnected from their own lives. The cinematography in Coppola’s films are superb as usual. The only thing that I’m still confused about is whether their relationship was platonic or romantic. A kiss doesn’t always mean romance right??? Cause in Thelma…
