Very neutral about this movie, as it didn’t leave much. I still don’t see how this is a movie on the father when most of the action is done by the daughters or some times the mother, but a part from that it does its job well enough.
It won Will Smith an Oscar and general attention for the slap at the ceremony, which is more than the one generated by the movie itself probably.

My first impression, after very few minutes, was that Twisters looked like a modern version with barely of age characters of the classic Twister. I didn’t appreciate the idea, and to be honest that thought never completely left my mind. Despite that lack of engagement, the action scenes with the Tornadoes where pretty cool and the drama was set high since very early into the movie. Daisy Edgar-Jones in the lead was strong and Glenn Powell a good ing character, with a good chemistry between the two.  I can say that although still preferring the original, this remake is not that bad.

Prima di tutto, mi felicito del fatto che non siamo solo noi italiani a tradurre a cazzo i titoli dei film stranieri, dato che vedo che il titolo in inglese è Don't stop me now, che non so cosa c'entra con il titolo originale. Ma vabbè. Detto ciò, questa commedia è leggera e carina, non gioca troppo sugli equivoci per una volta tanto e scorre piacevole, anche se la lunghezza percepita forse è maggiore di quella reale, quindi poteva anche essere tagliato di una decina di minuti.

Questo è stato, assieme a Titanic e alcuni classici Disney, il film che probabilmente ha segnato di più la mia infanzia. Un capolavoro assoluto, dalle musiche alle battute a tutto. Pieraccioni da qui in poi è andato un po' ripetendosi, ma si sa che l'originale è sempre migliore di tutte le copie (magari anche uscite bene)
