having rewatched this as someone who now works in a public library, it definitely does not portray urban public libraries very accurately imo. Alas diff times/diff places maybe. so funny, but on this watch i really loved Mary and her godmother’s relationship - the old being scared by the new, by everything she was never allowed to be. thank god things have changed though and librarians CAN be party girls and now my work maxes out of annual leave the day after G***** P*****
