Another showdown list of mine that will inevitably have The Breakfast Club in it. There's potential for an awful lot of crossover here with the coming of age showdown from just a fortnight ago in fact, but what really makes me uncomfortable about this showdown (apart from that appalling title 'nerdvember') is the fact that 'nerd' is so hard to pin down. I also worry that a lot of lists will just feature autistic characters which makes me feel a little uncomfortable as although there is arguably some cross over, it's worth pointing out that it is primarily up to someone with autism to identify themselves as a nerd or not and not some Oscar bait film.
