Was this really almost two years ago? Where does time go? As time goes on, and the theaters and streaming services fill up with slop, a filmmaker and franchise that values the cinematic experience holds up even better, even on a small phone screen while I'm working. I didn't get to rewatch 3-6 before I go see 8 tonight, but them's the breaks.
Perhaps because I’m afflicted with shingles at the moment, I found myself with much less patience for how boring and goofy this movie is, such a stark contrast with the first. Outside of less than ten minutes of stylistic action, this is a bad movie. Definitely the worst of the series, objectively. At least 3 has Hoffman going for it.
