this is still my favorite movie, wtf

I haven't actually finished it yet and things could yet go sour but this is my new favorite movie, don't @ me.

i really dont know what to say about this. i think any austen fan should watch this at least one time, just to have seen it. the adaptational choices are bizarre, the whole production is bizarre, but its short and its bizarre in a really watchable way. i won't say its good because its not, but its an experience

honestly -- I wouldn't watch this unless you're trying to watch every adaptation of pride & prejudice -- it makes pretty serious deviations from the plot of the novel and most of them make little sense, the changes to the characters and their personalities are jarring, it's just a bizarre and largely unpleasant experience.
