Toshiro Mifune Is the best actor for the 19th century hands down no one even comes close to his on screen enthusiasm he really is the goat also Takashi Shimura the way he just plays along with mifune’s character since he is not a”true samurai” also makes shimuras character look more realistic and it brings a real world feel to the film for me. I would also like to mention how well Yoshio inaba plays his  roles in akira Kurosawas…
