This feels like a very adult sort of haunted house story, where nothing is revealed to the audience too hastily and not everything is nicely wrapped up and resolved for you. I loved the beautiful black and white cinematography - very reminiscent of another great haunted house film, The Innocents.
Fascinatingly enigmatic characters performed by a terrific cast (including Dr Jacoby from Twin Peaks!), this is a very interesting little movie, with very classy direction from Robert Wise.
