One star for every time I belly laughed at Del Toro saying “myself, I feel very safe.” 

Cast is fantastic. Benicio Del Toro and Mia Threapleton work very well as the leads. A lot of this relies on their chemistry and they’ve got it in spades. This is beating a dead horse at this point, but I don’t know how it took this long to get Michael Cera in one of these, but he’s even better than you’d expect.

This movie contains multitudes.

Some of these multitudes work, others don’t, many are cliche, but a few are genuinely some of my favorite scenes put to film.  

Always appreciate a big swing and I think if this movie works for you, it will really work for you, but I can’t help but feel like this was a bit of a mixed bag.

Highlight of the film was my grandma loudly proclaiming to herself “that’s Joan Baez” every single time the character was on the screen, but other than that, this was a very generic biopic that had nothing to say and feels more surface level than just reading a Wikipedia article about Dylan.
