"Who you gon' be tonight Zola?"

the cinematography on point, the nails done, the hair did, the image calculated, distracting, dissociating. for my money the best movie A24's produced, like it's the peak, a sneaky crest before their long trough. for more money, maybe of the most important movies we'll circle back to in understanding the internet's capacity for pleasure & manipulation. if not that then it's probably the most interesting. love Riley Keogh in the role of a rancid Gwen…

goddamnit. painful, the saddest vanilla that I've ever tasted. I've been a fan of Next To Normal but never in proximity to enjoy the show itself, so the proshot is a godsend (a monkey's paw? Pandora's music box?) in rupturing my emotions and feeding me scar tissue like it's a snack. mental health final boss where ghosts are wishes and wishes are the Valium afterglow. Eleanor Worthington-Cox's got offensively perfect tear tracks and Jack Wolfe will pay for his sad boy crimes. throw the brick at my face why don't you :((((((((((((( <3.
