This is a gut punch of a film. Fernanda Torres is an absolute juggernaut here and gives a deeply nuanced performance. The film tells the harrowing story of Eunice Paiva during Brazil's military dictatorship in the 1970s. The film starts off with a wholesome depiction of a beautiful family with some military tension in the background. Almost like what we're seeing with a certain Orange blob...
