Yearning for the Infinite

I ire Ridley Scott's work so much that his direction in "Napoleon" made me overlook his previous film, "House of Gucci." "Napoleon" has elements that save it from being just another forgotten film in cinema's vast collection.
I understand the movie focused on Napoleon and his perspective. However, I believe incorporating more of 's landscapes, portraying Napoleon as part of this revolutionary country, would have added depth to the entire film.
