House Tyrell wouldn't be so proud.

" Oh wow you're selling me a comedy about Covid lockdowns already? / Yeah it is time to capture this moment for the future generations to see... and you've chosen Hollywood cast and crews to be the protagonists of your story? / Yeah it's a reDeMptIOn aRc for them of sorts cause they have to finish making this movie and along the way learn the lessons that they have to... but aren't these the people who sang & recorded John Lennon's…
You got me Letterboxd. I was digging the creative, short and sweet reviews written on this masterpiece so much so I eventually ed it to see it for myself.
Mid-90s to late 2000s had to have some sort of tornado of psychological "mindfuck" thrillers going on for them. From Se7en and Memento to Secret Window and Stay up to Shutter Island and Predestination we saw all kinds of twisted dudes realizing "it was them the whole time"! Charlie Kauffman's brother…
Orphan boy actually wears his big-boy pants and goes for the people who were responsible for his little sister’s death during the time of war. Eat shit Grave of the Fireflies!
Seriously though;
- let’s Imagine Red Dragon for a second, without the humanity of Will Graham.
- Imagine Silence of the Lambs without the twisted psyche of Clarice Starling.
- Imagine Hannibal without the concerned doubts and choices of Spector Pazzi.
Maybe it’s not pointless to consider Hannibal the…
From the directors of that Jim Carrey + Ewan McGroger film we didn't care to watch
and the actually good Crazy, Stupid, Love
Comes this " Oh I am so cool " romantic heist film
that does not make any sense if you focus on it for so long (haha)
But who cares. just sit back and be amazed by everything the two beautiful leads say or do.
Plus: Gerald McRaney was cool. If they only wrote something better for him.
1. One thing I was reminded by " Fifty Shades of Grey " is the fact that how a proper soundtrack can help a helpless film. Not ground-breaking music by any means, just good choice of songs. The soundtrack, as so much not-special as it is, creates the sexy romantic mood better than the script or the cast. It's much more deserving that the film itself.
2. The other thing I liked was Grey's shiny apartment. and his suits. Sorry…
Gary Oldman... well, I for one don't think he had to apologize for speaking his mind freely . But hey, I understand that he doesn't want to end up being black-listed like Mel Gibson.
And about this movie ? I'd rather get trapped in that steamy Roman elephant kind of jail than to even get into this boring pointless childhood-ruiner.
who's the director ?
*... Directed by : Catherine Hardwicke (Twilight , .... )*
Oh it makes sense then.
