I the last time I saw "Jaws" on the big screen...
Seventy men and women go into the cinema. The film came on in twelve minutes. Didn’t see the shark for about an hour. Great White. Twenty-footer (twenty five…). You know the thing about an enraptured filmgoer? He’s got glazed eyes, bright…
Watched this film for the second time last weekend. De Niro gives a very low-key performance here, in contrast to his "Johnny Boy" in "Mean Streets" (which was released the same year - I read somewhere that both films actually played in theatres at the same time, but I am not sure how true that is).
