Witnessing this for the 6th time, nearly 8 years on since it aired and I first saw it.

Finding s is still as profound and beautiful as the day it aired, it still explores the artifice that is television masterfully by countering Nathan with another artificial industry - an escort. It explores loneliness, obsession and love through Bill, and all the grey area's that come with those are fleshed out into uncomfortably real detail.

The Philippou's know how to work with child actors and get some great performances - proven twice now - but they seem increasingly reliant on "children + gore = creepy" as the formula for creeping people out. I guess it's their thing.

The trailer does the best parts of this movie dirty, and the worst parts of it justice. Gran Turismo is caught between a team of creatives who want to tell an interesting story about a gamer-turned-pro racer, and a marketing team who need to push Nissan, Gran Turismo and a bunch of other auxilary brand names as much as possible.
