Many are saying "Le school of rock JAPAN EDITION" but in reality this is an exact retelling of the SpongeBob episode Band Geeks

I.e., retaining previous "tutoring" band member, pretentious classical musician who judges the band (Squilliam), broken instrument gags, fight scene (snowball scene)

This is the worst episode of television I've ever watched in my entire life. And that is not an exaggeration. I don't even want to waste any more time than the 90 minutes I spent watching this detritus writing up why I hated this so much. Any surmise of effort would be wasted regardless as nothing could even begin to explain how terrible this is.

Many thoughts... i need to rewatch this on the big screen.

Surprised (from what I've read) that in references to video games no one has brought up Hotline Miami? Beyond the obvious — a neon lit hitman story with cyber wave aesthetics, hypermasculininity and extreme violence against a crime syndicate....set in miami... — I think the films themes of irony and fallibility & detachment within a "post-ironic" framework over strangely well.
