"Myself, I feel very safe"

Wes Anderson is probably one of the most consistent directors out there. If you've enjoyed the vibe of his previous movies then you'll enjoy this.

I'll always love the neat symmetry and pastel colors of Wes' cinematography. The eccentric to endearing idiosyncrasies of his characters, and the nostalgia of his production design.

I definitely see a lot of influence from silent film, most obviously in the numerous b/w cutaways to the "afterlife", but also in…

Love, Death & Robots: Kill Team Kill

2022

★★★½ Watched

I will fully it that this is a 14 year old boy's wet dream, but it leans into it so unapologetically and is self-aware enough that it's difficult for me not to enjoy it.

★★★½ Watched

A Case of Eugenics

1915

★★½ Watched

I'm not sure if the title of this film is meant to be sarcastic, but thankfully the idea of eugenics isn't really brought up during the runtime.

The boy is super cute and I enjoy some of his comedic interactions with the older gentleman.

The infantilism angle in the ladder half of the movie is at best silly and at at worse just weird.
