jesus fucking christ this rewatch ate away a part of my soul !! somehow i was not disturbed when i first saw the movie and now i’m wondering HOW the fuck it didn’t affect me?? never again. you can’t even pay me to rewatch this.

i’m a lot of both — summer & tom, the expectation vs reality scene was so so relatable cause often times we put on our rose tinted glasses and envision a scenario and what ends up happening is an entirely different, topsy turvy crappy situation. tom’s crash outs were so real and valid like i would be doing worse than just smashing plates if someone told me “i just woke up and i knew. what i was never sure of with you” but that also doesn't mean summer owed him anything, she was honest from the get-go about what she wanted and half of the time he was just fixating over an idealized version of her cause she fit into his dreamy, “the one” narrative oh and lastly “i’m autumn” and his ‘would you like to know the consequences of fucking around and finding out?’ speech at the work meeting really took the 5 star cake for me!!

the storyline had so much potential and jinyoung’s performance was sooo good but the dialogues were so ass, why on earth were the characters going around in circles about the same thing the whole movie?

okay i’m so so glad letterboxd approved my request for this drama to be added !! 

i wanna start off by thanking whoever it is that styled go younjung for this drama, they knew exactly what they were doing!! i was so excited to see go younjung in a medical drama and she did not disappoint!! we see many sides of oh yiyoung in the drama — her nonchalant, laid back attitude to her emotional, vulnerable moments, her cute, crush catastrophes and to finally her loving and being in love and go younjung portrayed them all so naturally, her talent impresses me yet again. 

han yeji was simply incredible for this being her debut drama, i’m so impressed by her, kang youseok and shin shia’s acting, they portrayed their characters struggles and developments so well, hats off. i loved how all 4 of them had their individual growth by the end of the drama and their friendship development too, the way they slowly started confiding in each other and even trying to see things from the other person’s perspective. 

it was both refreshing and intriguing for me to watch a medial drama solely focused on OB-GYN, i thought i wouldn’t enjoy it much but i was wrong, there were so many funny, tear jerking and heartwarming moments that i enjoyed every second of !! i wasn’t all that seated for ku dowon and oh yiyoung’s budding romance at first but go younjung and her weird ability to have chemistry with any and every co-star pulled me in. (still wish we’d gotten namkyung x yiyoung yuri tho lol) 

overall, the drama was a fun and comforting binge experience.

timeless comfort movie !! rewatching this hits different now that i’m older and dulquer salmaan, the man you ARE 🧎🏻‍♀️

suicide cancelled !!! i just rewatched znmd but then again suicide back on cuz i was scammed into believing that my life would be this fun

the movie started off strong with a beautiful sense of nostalgia and melancholia but then everything just deteriorated? the storyline was mediocre with a bunch of loose ends and randomness but the final scene with ‘fix you’ playing was simply magical and it made the whole movie worth it!! 

i need to watch it again to process the whole thing cuz what the fuck just happened?

the concept of breaking into someone’s apartment cleaning it and replacing their things with better ones and the concept of buying canned pineapples for a month straight and having them all at one night? i love love

S2E5 is so so important to me, a must watch drama.

(writing in 2025) literally watched this on a plane years ago and i it moved me so much that even after all these years i haven’t forgotten the title of the movie and even more surprisingly the plot !!

think your little period cramps hurt? try getting eaten by aliens that fell from the sky out of nowhere.

‘i create opportunities even in hellish situations.’ this drama’s storyline basically sums up what my parents have told me throughout my child, “those who really want to study, will find a way to study anywhere.” 

omg i loved the fight choreography so much, minhyun went through intense training and put so much effort into this role, he deserves all the recognition for it. the final fight between gamin and hanul was so thrilling and power packed. 

i loved seohyun finally learning martial arts too, not because he felt inferior but because he wants to protect gamin, their friendship is so precious. i love my study group squad so much :( the message this drama delivered is so impressive and i love how they executed it in a unique entertaining way…

WEAK HERO CLASS 2   
park jihoon has delivered yet another phenomenal performance, he literally lived yeon sieun, i don’t have enough words for him and ryeoun as park humin was the perfect casting, he effortlessly switches from a loud and vibrant character to a troubled, despondent one. bae nara and lee jun young delivered a brilliant, powerful performance too. 

i will say, both the characters storyline had so much potential but they didn’t have enough time to be explored further, it should’ve been at least an hour long, 12 episode drama for how many characters and relationships they were covering. it was too fast paced and the episodes somehow felt shorter than class 1. 

while i loved sieun’s friendship with baku, gotak & juntae, it made no sense to me how sieun was so quick to accept 3 new people into his life when he was still so traumatized from what happened. they should’ve developed the friendship at a slower pace when even in season 1 sieun takes time to warm up to suho and bomseok but here there was no catalyst for sieun to accept their friendship, he just randomly decides to let these people in when he’s been constantly having nightmares for almost 2 year and has been a walking dead man since then so how on earth did he warm up to them so quickly? they should’ve shown us sieun opening up and telling them about suho and bomseok, that would’ve shown their bond getting stronger and it would’ve been a personal character growth for sieun too…

i loved all the characters tho, they brightened up the mood and they’re exactly the kind of people sieun should be surrounded with. i love love baku so much, he is everything. gotak and juntae are so fiercely loyal and kind, they all had great chemistry together. not to mention, bakugotak’s married couple behavior was hilarious. i love how despite the rumors they weren’t judgmental of sieun and they saw through his stoic exterior. i wanted to see more of their friendship especially sieun and baku’s, they are literally two sides of the same coin. 

hong kyung’s cameo was incredibly powerful and pivotal to the show. it showed the difference in how sieun views them. he pictures suho in warm shades of yellow and orange — radiating love and comfort but bomseok inside the boxing ring, the very place where suho was taken from him — in pitch black, darkness and the eerie silence. however, i do wish we got to see suho during the times sieun WAS hallucinating him on the rooftop, when he called out “suho-ya” i was fully expecting to see suho and not baku.

also the major difference between both the seasons is that sieun’s cause to fight in season 1  was a lot more personal and the events leading to it changed the trajectory of sieun’s life whereas season 2 was the aftermath of it and we see sieun trying to cope and adjust to his new reality. in my opinion, season 1 also explored all the characters really well whereas in season 2 they were just touched upon here and there, which reduced it’s ability to leave a lasting impression and although we had 3 main antagonists, none of them reached their full potential. 
i wanted more of baekjin’s backstory, what led to his friendship falling off with humin, how despite being so academically oriented he ended up controlling the union. 

the show however, did incredibly well portraying sieun’s relationship with suho. despite sieun feeling helpless and guilty for what happened to suho, he is the one sieun talks the most to.  him never daring to step inside his room because he couldn’t stand to see suho who was full of energy and life now laying still so he sits outside, he waits.

sieun standing immobile in front of a speeding truck when he heard suho was in a critical condition, his world had come crashing down on him yet he fought hard to return to suho even when he wasn’t sure if he was still there and the very first thing he did when he opened his eyes was try to get to him and finally his heart starts again, when he gets the call, when he learns suho is awake and sieun just stands there taking in the sight of suho, breathing and looking full of life. for once there is no grief, no guilt just relief and happiness on his face, his smile and that look of love. 

suho in sieun’s hoodie, asking sieun if he has been living well because of course that is what suho has always wanted for sieun, for him to be well and not get hurt. both of them went through so much but they are back to each other and now, they have all the time in the world to figure it out.

superb movie, they kept you guessing the story throughout and it did not disappoint, the biggest advantage of this movie is the new face villain, his range was crazy…i didn’t expect him to have such a big role but oh my god he completely changed the game, i was raging so bad. lalettan has once again exceeded my expectations with his stellar performance. 

malayalam cinema is sooo back, thanks to the complete actor, mohanlal. 

WEAK HERO CLASS 1. 
rewatching this hit me so hard, a beautiful, intense and emotionally gripping show with such strong yet vulnerable characters that you have absolutely no choice but to love wholeheartedly…

suho, my beloved, he did nothing to deserve what happened to him, despite bomseok’s deluded belief, suho never patronized him. suho who works 3 jobs to lessen the burden on his grandma, who gives candies to kids, who interferes in fights before it escalates even at the cost of his own safety. he was so warmhearted and full of life and bomseok took away 2 years of his life, his youth. 

bomseok’s character arc was portrayed so well. the subtle shifts in his behavior, his innocence then the volatility. it was so sickening to see him go from chasing after a gangster to ensure suho’s safety to wanting to kill him on his birthday…he was abused all his life, he never had true friends who actually looked out for him but none of that will ever excuse the heinous crime he did. the betrayal to not just suho but sieun too and he should’ve been jailed for what he did. he was just a pathetic coward till the very end, blaming youngyi for what happened, kicking suho when he was nearly unconscious — never daring to punch him let alone confront him face to face. 

sieun’s character hits the hardest for me. he’s so relatable. his loneliness, the quiet way he cared for his friends, his fierce protectiveness and loyalty, his gentle but strong willed heart. his raw, visceral pain of losing suho — even when he did all he could to protect him. sieun walking into the hospital, exhausted and delirious after going after everyone who hurt suho and he just slumps down onto the chair beside suho’s bed, falls asleep and he dreams. he dreams of suho.

for what? 
everything. 
me too, i’m sorry” 

“if only some people can have it, that’s not happiness. that’s just nonsense. happiness is something anyone can have.”

beautiful cinematography, powerful storytelling and excellent acting performances.

M. wearing the shirt his grandma bought for him to her funeral, not weathering the flowers properly so that she’ll haunt him, the savings ?? yeah i killed myself alright

season 1 started off slow and i was not interested in the villains plot line but season 2 was amazing, the stakes were higher and i loved the villains, the burning sun, cults, all the cases were amazing. kim dogi my mastermind, i love how he was always 10 steps ahead of everyone!! rainbow taxi my favorite found family i love them all so much and i can’t wait to see them in season 3 !!

this was intense and gripping, it was so interesting to watch everything unfold and find out how exactly they all were connected.

everything i want to say about this drama is already said in the drama and that’s the beauty of it, it captures childhood, adulthood and motherhood ineffably…my mother is my mother but she is also a daughter, just like me.

life is erratic and unpredictable, you will soar and you may fall from that height but you will also get up and try again and soar even higher. life will go on.

here’s everything i hated about this movie.

1. plot is nonexistent — putting aside the whole political controversy cause that’s a huge issue in itself, no storyline. mohanlal had nothing to do in this movie, the story wasn’t even about him despite it being promoted as the unraveling of kureshi abra’am the entire time. 

2. butchered tovino’s character for no reason — if he was going to be given a villain arc, they should’ve properly seen through it. the reason for his scruple behavior wasn’t explained either. 

3. the absurd amount of ‘L’ — i don’t know why prithviraj thinks the audience would be intimidated if he kept showing an L every now and then in the stupidest ways possible, there was no explanation on how KA built his empire, how he rose to such power, we were supposed to just eat up his seemingly good yet somehow simultaneously evil character ?? 

4. no role for the villain — the villain was just a porcelain doll who came every now and then, despite his heavy presence in the beginning of the movie, he accomplished nothing in his quest to kerala. they should’ve given the heavy villain role to tovino instead neither tovino nor bajrangi had anything to do.

5. KA’s terrible outfits — why was he styled like it’s -1° the entire time?? also all the outfits looked like it could off as a last minute vampire halloween costume. 

this is just pointing out the basic flows, if i were to list out all my nuanced thoughts then this review would never end. in conclusion, prithviraj needs to learn a thing or two about letting a movie speak for itself rather than running his mouth the entire year and delivering bull crap in the theaters.

“trauma cleaning service” yet the entire show was packed with trauma….

first watch of the year and it was so disappointing, i was so excited with the neurodivergent male lead but then the story and the romance got boring real quick…not even sejeong & the fact that i’m seeing shin dohyun again on my screen after so long could save this for me!! i preferred the second leads romance more than the main leads, i’m sick of seeing the same cliché overused tropes that the main leads were serving us 

giving it 1 star only for that beautiful casting but they fumbled it so hard with the snooze fest of a storyline. kdrama writers need to bring in some originality when it comes to rom-coms.
