Wishmaster is a silly movie, which is basically just an excuse to do whatever nonsense they want. It's mostly pretty fun and the practical effects are (mostly) good. It knows what it is and makes no real attempt to be anything more (which is good).
I wish there were a bit more effort put into setting up the chaos, though. People are amazingly easy to bait into making strange wishes. And some of the twisted interpretations feel a bit too disconnected from the wish itself. Some are really fun and some of the time the Djinn just does whatever he likes regardless of the wish.
It's reasonably fun, but not really all that worthwhile.
