I was a very casual viewer of this web series back in its hay day but I still must give it the proper respect for doing a sapphic drama of the Carmilla lesbian vamp queen justice that veers far away from its usual "man hating" roots. This is quite beautifully shot for a movie special and I am 100% sure the fans of the web series were properly GAGGED with the gothic queen herself all over again 😆

This is actually a charming and beautifully shot family thanksgiving drama, but I found myself kind of annoyed it was mostly a miscommunication humor movie to keep it along.
I also really disliked the addition of Austin as the "second lead" romantic hetero option for the sake of dramatics. Definitely not a cozy lesbian holiday movie.
This was too packed in like sardines with directions and it didn't know where to go. It really should have stayed an action revenge drama movie or expanded more into the horror aspects to give it some flesh. The way its presented is chopped messily and ends on a pointless weird note those last 10 minutes with the time skip.
As a horror fan this is not good and kind of lazy, as a drama fan its a solid 3…
