I love when a movie feels like a puzzle, and it doesn’t matter how jagged or peculiar the pieces are in this one, they will all fit together like a glove. I’ll sit with this one for a long time wondering what it means and what it means to me. The exploration of jealousy festering for what you used to be is utterly brilliant and I’ve never seen something like it.
As enjoyable as the main absurd concept is, this movie wins in the absurd details littered throughout. Like the dripping water.

Gosh, Sebastian Stan is just so good.

One of the best dramas I’ve seen in a long time. The way in which McDonagh writes/directs this subject material is profoundly mature. Farrell and Gleeson teaming up with his vision never fails.

Voyeurism at the seams. Hitchcock must’ve had a blast directing this, because there is so much tiny detail in this that brings everything to life. Snippets of life from every neighbor, and each erby on the street which can be seen slightly through the alley. The real action comes at the very, very end. But everything building up to that is so finely crafted that the movie makes for an amazing experience.
Lisa needs to know her worth. Find a man with legs that work and who can have flirty banter instead of whining.
