The 2025 live-action Lilo & Stitch remake delivers a funny and engaging family story that builds on the heart of the animated original. The film expands Lilo and Nani’s sisterly bond with additional scenes, and Stitch’s chaotic charm translates well with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments for kids and adults alike. However, the visuals often feel underwhelming, with CGI that lacks the vibrancy of the 2002 classic. The editing and cinematography is clunky and feels like something made for TV rather than a summer blockbuster. Still, it’s a heartfelt, if flawed, take on a a familiar tale that families will likely enjoy.

How to go to Mars and not go insane and kill your crew mates while talking to a robot and playing VR family after you wake up from German scientist hibernation while not alienating your kid and not dying from electrocution.
