big time dumb guy movie. not necessarily a bad thing just the observation of one man. i will say that about halfway through the movie everyone starts saying "strength and honor" and also one of the emperors gets a pet monkey. both things happen around the same time. so my question basically is why

what i really wanted was a story about cowardly science bureaucrats leveraging their careers at a great cost to humanity at large to have a richer mundanity of evil vibe but didn't get it. i also wanted the power and scale of their atrocities to come across more. so that didn't really work for me. something for chris nolan to consider next time he embarks on a project
