This was a lot more enjoyable than reviews made it out to be! Some obvious plot choices, but all around carried by Harrison Ford and Anthony Mackie's performances. It was interesting to see a hero on screen that felt like they were actually in danger!

The theater for this was so quiet you could hear a pin drop! Romulus was a fun entry into the series, packed with jumps and that good old alien goo. It manages to surprise, even in such a familiar franchise. The practical effects in this are incredible. It's a film for the fans, that much is certain, but it doesn't shy away from adding its own thoughts to the mix. Romulus cuts to the action pretty quickly, but unfortunately does…

Another horror where people were actually in the theater! I'm so pleased with Cuckoo. Loved the visuals and the sound design for this movie. It's got a couple of good jumps and an overall foreboding atmosphere, but doesn't miss the opportunity to crack a joke. Really, they had me at Bavarian Alps, because I love a good spooky mountain town. Cuckoo has a lot of mystery and isn't heavy handed with its exposition, which I was really happy with. Go see it in theaters if you can!
