Second rewatch—still really enjoyed the movie. Could’ve done without those insert flashbacks. I also didn’t think the intro was necessary. Even though it gives the movie a folktale vibe, the whole church scene at the very beginning didn’t feel needed. I would’ve preferred if the audience went in completely blind, which is why I love that first teaser trailer—it barely gives you anything about what the movie’s about.
