Seeing This In 2018 And This Being My Biggest Hyper Fixation For Months Before Infinity War As It Was Film I Rewatched Incredibly Often, So Today I Decided To Rewatch This Gem After A Few Years And It Thankfully It Holds Up Pretty Spectacularly.                            "Reality Is The Only Thing That Is Real."                  Ready Player One Is A Pop Culture And Movie’s Fan Dream While It’s Not Completely Accurate To The Book, Stephen Spielberg Just Cooks With His Work Here He Seriously Proves That He Is Still The Man For Inventive Blockbuster Cinema, The Film Is So Unbelievably Gorgeous To Look Visually And Creatively, The Cinematography Is Just Top Tier And The CGI Is Mind Blowingly Phenomenal Easily Some Of The Best Visual Work In The Past Decade, The Action Is Legendary And Is On A Scale That Seriously Makes It Stand Out For Me Personally, And The Set Pieces And Just The Pure Amount Of Exciting Amount Of Great Pop Culture References Is Just On Another Level Of Pure Exhalation, The Story Is Relentlessly Thrilling And Is So Investing To Watch Wade Is Seriously A Really Well Written And Great Character Here He’s Notably Super Relatable And Likeable Which Makes Him Super Easy To Root For And The Rest Of The Cast Of Characters Are Really Well Written Especially Samatha And Helen There Pretty Well Fleshed Out And Have A Great Dynamic Along One Another I Also Love The Challenges Throughout The Story And The Characters Journey’s And The Film’s Messaging Seriously Being Well Written, The Pacing Is Honestly Fantastic And Really Good There Isn’t A Single Part Where The Film Drags In My Honest Opinion, This Film’s Cast Just Absolutely Kills It With There Roles, Tye Sheridan Is Just Damn Amazing Casting As Wade Here And Is A Super Compelling Lead Presence All Throughout, Olivia Cooke Is Just Amazing Here As Samatha And Her Chemistry Especially With Tye Is Just Unmatched, Mark
Rylance Is Also Just Excellent Casting As James Halliday He Brings The Inspirational Nerdiness And Mysterious Mystical Presence Of The Character Throughout The Film So Perfectly, And I However Thought Ben Mendelsohn Seriously Gave A Great Performance As The Villain He Might’ve Been Generic Sure But He Still Knocks It Out Of The Park Here Especially His Back And Forward Performance With His Scenes With Tye, I Also Forgot That T.J. Miller Was Weirdly In This Movie I Like Him As An Actor But I Legitimately Forgot That Was Him As I-R0K, And There’s Something So Strange About Hearing Simon Pegg With An American Accent, And Overall Not A Perfect Adaptation Of An Incredible Book But A Seriously Great And Creative Film That Is Just One Big Giant Celebration Of Pop Culture As A Whole.
