One of the only (and I mean only) good things about getting older is getting to see how movies hold up as they age. I saw The Matrix in its opening weekend with basically no expectations and it was such a thrilling experience that to this day I can still tell you what theater I saw it at, what auditorium at the multiplex it was in, and where in the theater I sat. The trailers looked cool, but the movie itself fascinated and delighted me. 20+ years later, it still does. My only criticism of this movie: It’s not a good option to put on in the background while you try to get some work done, because you will never finishing your work because you wind up watching The Matrix for the 65th time.
