Thunderbolts is messy in a way that feels honest. The exposition hits hard—not because the story needs it, but because it’s trying to catch up anyone who skipped the homework. It slows things down, but not enough to kill the pulse.
The side characters shine, carrying more than they were probably asked to. Bob feels like the audience—confused, surprised, hanging on. And that works. What really lands, though, are the moments when trauma takes center stage. Not solved. Just… seen.…
