They really are popping these out now, aren’t they? I have a lot of iration for the original Black Panther, but this one milks the ing of Chadwick Boseman for as much emotional pull as humanly possible, and equally, lazily tackles the rather goofy looking Namor with the same old world domination plot. It’s almost baffling how cookie cutter it is, while the forced (and rushed) inclusion of Ironheart further points to a future Avengers entirely void of proper development. As usual, it’s competently made unlike the recent Dwayne Johnson cringe fest, but the MCU is speeding toward irrelevance and fast. 3/5

Enola Holmes (2020)
I’m all for a Sherlock Jr style caper with a female focus, and to be fair I did enjoy Millie’s fourth wall breaking winks and nods, but the preachy feminism killed a lot of my enjoyment of this. There's a moment in this when Brad Pitt faces a threat that teased a very different, scarier film. But then it was over. At another point, there's a rover chase sequence on the moon with space pirates that totally engaged me for about a minute. Then that was over. Director: Sam Fucking Raimi

Look guys. This was one of the messiest films in the MCU, practically reviling in its cheap, bloated CG and a conveniently plotted narrative that feels thin and especially underdeveloped if you didn’t just watch Wandavision. HOWEVER, they totally SAM RAIMI’D this bitch to a degree that filled me with the utmost joy. Nobody can accuse Disney and Fiege of stripping the vision from their directors (at…
