Watching Incendies is a singular movie experience. I don’t think there has ever been another film like it, certainly not one that I’ve seen. The interwinding storylines are crafted masterfully throughout until the jaw-dropping final moments. I’m putting Incendies in my Top 20 Best Films of All Time; it’s that good and if you haven’t seen it, watching anything else tonight is time that could be better spent. Bravo Denis.

Inigo Montoya with a flamethrower. As fun as the action choreography was, it’s still not enough juice to make up for the fact it’s essentially a carbon copy of the original with a one-dimensional protagonist and limited if not nonexistent theme.

I did learn some new things about the scandals, but I feel these documentaries are at their best when we get interviews with the actual person, and this one suffers by the lack of Brett Favre’s direct perspective.
