Somewhere in here is the potential for something interesting. Becoming Captain America as a black man after generations of slavery, segregation and racism in the very fibre of the heart of America and it's history. The terrible cost and consequences of trying to maintain empire and how you betray your principles in the pursuit of more life. But nope, it's a poorly edited mess of a movie that doesn't say or do anything interesting.

Finally watching after having it on my watchlist for 11 years. More style than substance. The ending is dumb and there isn't enough Bowie. However, there is so much style that it circles around to being good despite the paper thin plot. One of the best looking movies I have seen in a while.
Shaggy dog After hours but make it very Australian and more gross. Youth purgatory in a society with no jobs, no hope and not future. So why not get drunk and strung out and steal from your friends and fuck anything that moves after they have just vomited in front of you. Men will disappoint you and you'll fight with your girlfriends but they will have your back and do depraved shit to help you out. The urgency isn't there as much as you would think but it is definitely an interesting gross vibes movie.
