I kept thinking about how fast the Burj Khalifa sequence moves. Just one thing after another, barely any chance to catch our breath before another disaster that Ethan has to improvise his way through. I had a lot of time to think about this because the two big stunt sequences in this movie (only two!), while undeniably impressive from a “put the star’s life in danger” perspective, were so slow moving and one note.
