21 jump street is a surprising gold mine of comedy, and fun. Exceeding my expectations, and making me laugh all throughout.

Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill were FANTASTIC. Put any other actor in the shoes they had to wear, and they wouldn’t fit. And I mean it when I say that. This movie was so ridiculous, so interesting, and so entertaining. All while making me laugh all the way through its perfect runtime. It doesn’t overstay its welcome, it doesn’t leave too early, it’s literally perfect.

Now, obviously the movie ITSELF isn’t perfect. But it’s damn near close 😭. Sometimes with films, it’s better to just sit back, laugh, and enjoy them, then thinking about it super deeply. Theres a lot of films like that, but I think 21 Jump Street is an amazing, if not PERFECT example of it.

Anyways, I don’t have much to say other then GO WATCH THIS FILM! (If you haven’t already of course lol-)

It’s fun, entertaining, it’ll make you laugh your ass off, and has a great finale that sets up the sequel. WHICH I’ve heard is also pretty good! Might watch it someday, but we’ll see

V/H/S is nothing more than a bunch of ideas for short horror stories thrown together, all feeling somewhat bland and boring, especially the ones in the middle of the film. Giving us a, while unique, overall sub-par film.

I think I’m gonna write a little something for each segment of this film, cause I feel like each should be rated on their own. Then of course I’ll discuss the main plot, and my thoughts of the film overall, so here we go-

Segment 1, 3/5: A pretty strong start to this film, making you expect insane things like vampire demon girls on cocaine, killing a bunch of douchebags while naked to be what the whole movie feels like. That’s right, that’s the ACTUAL plot to this first segment 😭. Wild, but definitely unique and entertaining to watch. And easily has the best effects of the movie. It’s upsetting that this segment has to come before probably the WORST one of the movie, because it makes it feel misleading towards the overall tone of the tapes. Still, fun to watch!

Segment 2, 1/5: This segment follows a couple who had decided to film the road trip they’re going on, when things take a very confusing and random turn. Would you believe me if I said this segment ends with the girlfriend being revealed to be in a secret lesbian relationship with some psycho, who kills the other girls boyfriend, and then runs off with the girl? Cause it’s true, and it’s really lame and boring.

Most of the time we’re just watching footage of the couple talking, so you can imagine how out of place it feels when all that suddenly happens. And yes, we do see some “spooky” stuff happen before the plot twist is revealed, but it still doesn’t flow well with the rest of the short. Basically what I’m trying to say is, this one sucks. Not entertaining, and comes out of nowhere. Easily being the worst of the film.

Segment 3, 2.5/5: I don’t have much to say for this one. To be completely transparent, it’s hard to come up with a lot to say about these unless I dislike them apparently-. But thankfully, this one is better than the last. It actually decides to make things seem off from the start, and give us little snippets of how the story is gonna go down. It follows a group of teens/young adults, going into the woods to hangout. Unknown to three of them though, the one who invited them all here was using them as bait to draw out a murderer, who had killed all her friends a bit before this takes place. Eventually ending up dead herself. Sounds somewhat interesting, but unfortunately this one suffers from TERRIBLE effects, and a unfulfilling ending. That throat slit sucked so much ass sadly 😭.

Segment 4, 2/5: This one is..sort of interesting? We follow a girl who repeatedly video calls her boyfriend, and talks to him about all these strange things happening around her house. As it turns out though, the boyfriend is in on these strange happenings with what appears to be….ghost children, who are making this guy cut her open and pull out a half human half SOMETHING fetus.

Yeah, it’s not really explained what the fuck is going on here, so I’m just judging it based on what I can tell 😭. It wasn’t TERRIBLE, just not anything special either. Would’ve liked an explanation on what was happening, I think that would’ve made it a lot more enjoyable.

Segment 5, 4/5: Easily the most interesting and enjoyable of the movie. It follows a group of actually NICE guys, showing up to the wrong house for a Halloween party, and end up stumbling across what appears to be some sort of demonic sacrifice.

I won’t say the ending, because it’s actually REALLY cool, and I want yall to go see it yourselves. But for this review, just take my word for it, this one’s the best. I really enjoy being able to like the characters here 😭, because in all of these so far, at least ONE of the characters ends up being a terrible person. It’s a nice change of pace I guess 🤷. Anyways, great short horror story, fits perfectly into the film.

Main plot, 1.5/5: We really don’t have much to work with here. In fact, the main characters LITERALLY just disappear from the movie. No explanation onto what happens to them but the final guy..sort of.

The main plot just follows a bunch of sexual assaulting, property damaging ass hats, who break into a house to steal a VHS tape for some reason-. Each of them eventually disappearing after being tasked to stay in a specific room, with a bunch of tv’s and a VHS player. As you can tell, doesn’t make all that much sense, but this movie is really just a bunch of shit crammed together anyways, so it doesn’t really matter 😭. Still, has essentially all the worst parts of the movie crammed into it.

Overall, this movies pretty messy. It’s not something I see myself watching again anytime soon, but I can give it the fact that it has an interesting and unique idea for a horror film.

Like I’ve been saying, could’ve been done a LOT better, but also could’ve been a lot worse.

Can I be honest for a minute?

I really don’t feel like I fit in on this app.

There’s so many smart and talented people, people who genuinely fully understand the art of filmmaking, and what makes something good, and something bad. I feel as though I haven’t achieved something like that yet. Like I’m going into this before I’m even remotely smart enough to start acting like it.

Idk, just a thought. I’m not saying I’ll stop reviewing things on here, I’m not ready to do that yet. What I’m saying is that I just feel like I’m not a good fit on here. I feel like people don’t really like what I write, and I don’t want that. I want my reviews to round up my personal thoughts and feelings about a film, while also being informative on what makes the movie have its ups and downs, if any of that makes any sense-

Anyways, more reviews coming soon. I think I’ll rewatch TOH once I complete up to my 80th review, and let you guys know how I feel about the show more than 2 years after I watched it for the first time! I’m excited for it!

Thinking about doing individual episode reviews, but I think that wouldn’t work all too well. I’m thinking I’ll do reviews for the specific first 2 seasons, maybe give some episodes their own reviews if I feel like I have something extra to share about them, and I’ll cover the final 3 episodes in parts. Would you all like to see that? Let me know! ^^

Napoleon dynamite is..a good movie. But I really don’t have much to say about it. It has up’s, it has down’s, but overall, it’s a pretty run of the mill film. It doesn’t feel special in any way to me..but maybe it doesn’t need too.

Gonna be honest, the first 40 or so minutes of this one were just sort of alright. It wasn’t bad, or painful to watch or anything. Just kinda alright. But I’ll give it this, after that it’s pretty great! I enjoyed a lot of the jokes when we got to the latter half, and understand why it’s talked about so fondly by so many..sort of-

Like I said before, it’s not really anything that special. Yeah it’s overall a good film, with not too many flaws, but it’s not something I’d beg people to watch to be completely transparent. Feels like something you’d watch with your friends and not really pay attention to it for long periods of time.

That’s all I can really say tbh 😭, there’s not a lot to work with here. It’s a fun movie! I enjoyed my time with it! But it just doesn’t feel like anything I’m gonna in a year or twos time. I appreciate it for what it is, just not dying to watch it again.

Review number: 72

Slender Man is easily one of the worst films I’ve ever seen. It’s the perfect example of Hollywood greed. Taking something big from the internet they don’t understand, trying to mish mash a movie together out of it, and failing miserably. Ending up with not only the general audience hating it, but diehard fans of whatever property Hollywood chose to play with, in this case Slender Man, feeling disappointed. Which is the worst things you can do when adapting something to a feature film.

I genuinely WANT to say something good about this one, but there’s literally nothing here. It’s just a mix of “modern” horror movie tropes, and slender man. In turn, making a shit movie. Why in the FUCK would you EVER make something like slender man, be a “shadow demon” or whatever the fuck it was, that you can summon into your life by watching a video on the internet. WHY??? ITS SO STUPID! ITS NOT EVEN REMOTELY SCARY, AND HONESTLY JUST FEELS LIKE OLD PEOPLE TRYING TO BE “HIP” OR “MODERN”. 😭😭

Some of the slender man stuff was kinda cool. I enjoyed a lot of the flashing images with stuff of him in the woods, and other creepy things like that. THAT actually feels like slender man, not “oooooo spooky internet video gets you CURSED!!!”

And the only other thing I can think of that was sort of enjoyable was wren. Probably the best written character of the entire movie. Managing to feel somewhat like an actual human being in a movie filled with 2 dimensional, flat as paper characters. Sadly, she was killed by being pulled out of her window by tree branches. That’s right, the best character in this god awful movie, was killed by TREE BRANCHES. Oh, and the main character was, and I SHIT YOU NOT, TURNED INTO A TREE AT THE END OF THE MOVIE. THATS HOW SHE DIES. SHE BECOMES A TREE.

Overall, abysmal dogshit. The worst movie I’ve seen in a long time, and I absolutely NEVER plan on watching this thing again. Please, for your own sake, if you haven’t seen this, don’t EVER see it. Wasted an hour and thirty minutes of my life for the most nothing burger film of all time.

Review number: 71

A stunning take on classic horror movies like Friday the 13th. Bringing new light, and a new perspective to the chaos of these films. Sadly, it suffers from the same problems that said classic horror movies have.

My main issue with this movie is that it tries to be sort of realistic, by making us follow jhonny around and watch as he stalks and kills, while also blending that realism with typical horror movie tropes. Giving us a mix of genres that shouldn’t be mixed.

After spending so much time just watching Johnny walk around, look at things, and ect, to have things like Johnny suddenly just getting up from a gunshot to the heart, and throwing an axe directly into the back of someone’s head, just doesn’t blend well with the majority of the film for me. It feels like one minute you’re watching something that could actually happen, and the next you’re watching a classic horror movie. Unfortunately, you can’t mix the two things together, and expect them to flow seamlessly.

My only other issue is that it can be pretty slow at times, especially when the camera is just following Johnny as he walks from place to place. But I understand that’s the point of the film. You’re supposed to see what it’s like for the killer. To get to experience what it’s like stalking these characters, and watching their deaths to the fullest. So it’s 100% able in my book, I guess you could say it’s “part of the experience” or something similar to that. Just wanted to acknowledge it, because it’s something I was thinking about during my watch.

Other than that though, this film was great! It felt more like an art piece directed towards horror movie fans, than a feature length film. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing, not by a large margin.

I seriously have to mention the absolutely STUNNING work of the effects team, for creating the two most creative kills I’ve ever seen in ANY horror movie. Absolutely incredible work, I hope they all get every job they apply for in the future, because they 100% deserve it.
And if you’re wondering what kills, I think you haven’t watched the movie yet 😭 IYKYK

Anyways, there’s not much more to say about this one. A greatly executed, and interesting film that I’d like to revisit in maybe a year or two. That unfortunately just suffers from the same issues that the horror movies it’s basing itself on have. But honestly, that means it did a perfect job at what it was trying to do, so who am I to speak of it as a negative? 🤷

A beautiful display of art, psychological horror, and film at its finest, easily becoming one of my favorite films of all time.

This. THIS, is why I’ve chosen to watch more movies. Because I knew one day, that I would stumble across a movie that would completely exceed my expectations, and make me fall in love with cinema. I just wasn’t expecting it to be so soon-

From the beginning to the end, Donnie Darko keeps me interested and entertained the entire time. Following the world through Donnie’s eyes, experiencing his life with him. What others can and can’t see doesn’t matter, because what matters is his actions. At least you THINK that’s what matters, until you see the end. Completely shattering this reality that you’ve built while watching this film, all into a million different pieces. It’s art at its FINEST. Art that can change the way you’re comprehending it in a couple of seconds. It’s beautiful.

It wouldn’t feel like itself, so interesting, so creative, so life filled, if all parts of the movie weren’t there. Just one thing. Could be the actors, the writing, maybe the cinematography? It wouldn’t matter, because if this movie had even the slightest of change, I don’t believe that it would be nearly as good as what was put together, and shown here.

I want to say something like, “I wish I watched this sooner.”, but I don’t think that. I think I watched this film at the perfect time in my life. A time where I needed a film like this to be shown to me. Something to truly inspire me.

In conclusion, watch Donnie Darko. It’s a fantastic film, that will leave you speechless by the end.

Review number: 69

I’ve been wanting to watch a lot more movies recently, and I think I’m actually gonna start doing it. If the movie I’m reviewing here didn’t make that already obvious-

But hey, I felt like watching something, saw this, read the plot, and was immediately in.

On surface level, this film is just a basic offensive comedy with terrible stereotypes, sexist jokes, and so on. But if you dig a bit deeper, it’s actually not that bad of a film, and has a good message behind it!

So getting the comedy aspect out of the way, it was pretty good! Not every joke got me of course, but humor is subjective, so to expect a movie to hit all high bars is a little much imo. And I think anything that could be called “offensive”, is very clearly just a joke, and shouldn’t be taken too seriously. Doesn’t mean it’s really all that funny though-

I appreciate how they gave Larry about just as much screen time as Chuck, if not more. It’s good to see that despite it definitely being an Adam Sandler movie, the other main character got to be on screen, and I guess “shine” in his own way. The movie wouldn’t of been the same without him..obviously-

The ending was nice, I liked it. Obviously I’m not super impressed, and not really surprised, but it’s an Adam sander movie for fucks sake, I didn’t expect to be 😭

Overall, fun film. I think it’s probably one of Adam’s better films from this era, but then again I haven’t watched too many Adam Sandler films in my life, so I douno how much room I have to talk.

I’d rate it three, but the scene where Ving and Chuck hug made me laugh a little too hard. Also, REY FROM GHOSTBUSTERS?? WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE??? 😭😭😭

Also, just wanna say, Adam Sandler says faggot at least 3 times in this movie. I think that’s very funny

This movie is SO close to being perfect. Beautifully shot, beautifully written, and ect ect. It’s more breaking bad, what did you expect? I just have ONE flaw…

Why in the FUCK would Jesse hand over that gun? WHY? It makes, absolutely 0 sense to me, why he wouldn’t shoot Todd’s stupid fucking face right there, right then. At first I thought, “Hm, maybe it’s because he doesn’t wanna kill anyone else”, but THAT theory was thrown out of the window, when he murdered both of those welder guys! It just makes no sense, and the movie would’ve been better if Todd had taken it from him somehow by force, or fucking SOMETHING, ANYTHING but Jesse just casually handing it over, cause Todd’s dumbass said “Hey we could get pizza and beer. You’ll still be me and my Nazi uncles meth prisoner though.”

But besides that one gripe, the movies perfect. An amazing end, for the best character on breaking bad. Finally giving us the closure we needed for this poor guy. He wanted, NOTHING to do with Walter, and his life would’ve been better without that fucking bald demon 😭.

I was so happy to see skinny Pete and Badger btw, great characters, glad they got to come back for this one

Overall, amazing film. One major issue, but other than that, it’s great. A must watch for any breaking bad fan, ESPECIALLY Jesse fans.

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR BOTH BREAKING BAD SEASON 5, AND THE SHOW AS A WHOLE

Review number: 67

So I’ve finally finished rewatching breaking bad. My bad it took so long yall, it’s been a long couple weeks 😭

But good lord, this show is probably the best of its kind. The best of many kinds. Always managing to keep itself entertaining, fresh, and enjoyable all throughout. Something many series struggle to do, but not this one. Vince Gilligan has created pure art here, something that can NEVER be repeated. Nothing like this could ever be made again, because breaking bad will always be there to overshine whatever other fad could come its way. From the genius writing, to the amazing suspense and drama, and so much more, this show is genuinely perfect. I have no flaws, no gripes, no issues. Everything makes sense, and is pieced together so perfectly, I wouldn’t want it any other way. And season 5 only strengthens this claim, giving us the most dramatic and important season yet. Always making you wonder what could happen next, and anticipate the future, even if it looks bad.

Walter TRULY is the embodiment of evil. Very well knowing what he’s doing, and knowing he did it for him. Because HE enjoyed it, because HE was good at it. All that time spent lying to himself and everyone else, that this money was for his family. But in reality, he doesn’t care about the money, not in the slightest. His family getting it is just an added bonus for him, he just loves the feeling of being alive. Doing the wrong thing, because he’s been subject to doing the right thing for his entire life.

The way he affected every single person he interacted with was so cool and real, it makes me smile. I keep complimenting Walter, but I seriously mean it when I say that EVERY character on this show is written perfectly. Like I said, I have no gripes.

In conclusion, this is an all time favorite. And if you watch it and pay attention, you’ll understand why. Breaking bad tells the story of a once nice, simple, smart man, turned into a psychotic, murderer, drug kingpin, who will stop at nothing to get what he wants. It’s told so beautifully, makes so much sense, and ends in the best possible way. Go watch this show, it deserves all the love it gets.

Review number: 66

So this is it, the FINAL movie in the main Star Wars series, at least so far. 9 movies, each 2 hours long. Each movie so far has been pretty enjoyable, so will this movie break that curse?….

No. No it did not.

I’m not able to understand why these movies are so hated. Yes there are things that are odd, or even stupid. But those shouldn’t reflect on the WHOLE movie, because those dumb choices AREN’T the whole movie. This movie isn’t perfect, not by any means. But it’s still and enjoyable and likeable film, that puts a good ending to the saga.

So to start, bringing back Palpatine isn’t a BAD idea..it just needed the proper setup. There should’ve been teasers in the previous movies 100%. Maybe just a laugh or something at the end of the credits to tease him. Cause he was absolutely great here! He was an amazing villain, just again, lacked the proper setup.

Also wanna mention C-3PO for a second, cause what was the point of the memory wipe thing? They made it seem like some super important thing, just for R2 to roll in and give him all his memories back 😭. As much as I love C-3PO, I would’ve much rather him lose all his memories then what actually happened. And on top of all that, the fact that he has his memories back doesn’t come up again at all. He literally interacts with Poe and Finn, and they just..don’t mention it 😭. Not THAT big of a deal, just hate when a big sacrifice means nothing.

The CGI was WAY better than the last Jedi’s here. Idk if they had anymore time, but it sure looks like it. Also once again, thank you SO MUCH for keeping the practical stuff in, even if it’s only for a few things. It really makes it feel like starwars when you see a puppet on screen lmao.

So since I’ve talked about Kylo, or I guess I should say Ben, I wanna give him his own little section here. I appreciate how unlike Palpatine, his character was actually set up in the films. And what I mean by that is that his arc was set up, if that makes any sense-.

For example, in the first and second movies you can see him struggling with himself. Struggling between good and evil, constantly having a battle with himself in his own mind. It’s a great detail, and I love that he didn’t just randomly go good. There was clearly still good in him, and that’s why it was painful as hell when he died-. I was NOT expecting him to go, but if anyone was going to..I think it makes the most sense for it to be him. I mean, I don’t see how you could do much more with him after the sequels-.

Also just realized, this (I think) is the first movie to have Luke, Leia, AND Han in it since episode 6. And I think that’s pretty cool! I enjoyed the fact that the original characters were involved here. Now were they perfect? Not at all, there was many times where they felt a little off. Was it still enjoyable? Well duh, I wouldn’t have such a good attitude about them if they weren’t 😭.

They’re fun, and I’m glad that the characters got to be developed a little more before they all fucking died for whatever reason lmao

Overall, these movies have been a lot better than most make them out to be.

They aren’t terrible movies, not by a long shot. I’ve had my fun with all of them! And regardless of my opinions, it’s clear to me now why Star Wars is such a popular franchise, and will remain a main state for a VERY long time..I hope you enjoyed my reviews on these movies! I’ll probably be watching some spin off ones like solo and rouge one, but we’ll see. Thank’s for reading! ^^

Review number: 65

So yes, this movie isn’t perfect. And yes, there is some things that are pretty dumb. But does that make it the worst fucking thing you’ve ever watched? No! Not at all.

The hate I’ve seen for this movie was CRAZY. It feels like most people hate the sequels, and I assumed for good reason.

But after watching it..while it’s not my favorite, and it’s definitely not perfect, it’s not a bad movie by any means. I had a lot of good fun here, especially in the final act. I think that’s when this movie REALLY shines for me.

One of my main favorite parts was Kylo ren. Just his mix of emotions, the struggle he goes through and all for nothing! It’s great, the sequels have done a great job making a good, slightly complex but not too complex, likeable villain with a good backstory.

Also again wanna say the action and CGI (mainly for the ships, we’ll talk about act 1 and 2’s green screening in a moment-) was great! I really do appreciate how much more real the lightsaber fighting feels. This movie has my FAVORITE lightsaber kills/attacks of any of the movies, so that’s how you know it was good on that part. And like I said, the ships are always fantastic. I especially loved when the rebel ship kicked into light speed and destroyed one of the wings on the first orders ship, it looked incredible and was an incredible idea.

So as I mentioned earlier, the green screen in the first 2 acts was..less then satisfactory in a lot of places. If yall needed more time to make it look good, DO IT. I hate when big companies rush movies out, and they look like shit. It always ruins the movie for me. But like I said, most of it was good, just the green screening sometimes.

So let’s talk about my least favorite thing in this movie. What the FUCK do you mean Leia, someone who has NEVER used the force outside of knowing that Han was dead, can PULL HERSELF TO SAFTEY USING THE FORCE, AFTER BEING NEARLY EXPLODED AND SHOT OUT INTO THE VACCUM OF SPACE.

It’s dumb. Really dumb. So dumb that when I told my history teacher that I was watching all the movies, he told me SPECIFICALLY about this scene and to be prepared for its stupidness. Pisses me off that she gets plot armor like that. I would’ve much rather her died then do that stupid shit.

But all of the complaints that I find about this movie are just a few needles in this haystack. Like I said, it’s not a bad movie, not by any means. Flawed? Yes. Probably the worst of the franchise so far? Probably 🤷. But at the end of the day, it’s watchable and I had some fun. I officially have one movie left, which is crazy to think about because that means that this year alone, I’ve sat through 8 2 hour long movies 😭. Let’s hope the rise of skywalker is better

….Now hear me out for a second-

Yes I know, I’m gonna have people breathing down my neck because of this review and my thoughts on this movie, but I have to be honest here. This movie was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed every second that I watched, and genuinely cannot wait to see more. It was fun, action filled, had a good plot, ect ect. We’ll talk more about ALL of it right now.

Just wanna start off by saying I absolutely LOVE the main cast. Rey, Finn, and Poe are all absolutely amazing characters. And believe it or not, THIS is the movie that made me understand how people like Han Solo. He doesn’t feel like just a guy who shoots guns and hits on girls anymore, he feels mature, and grown. While also keeping the most enjoyable parts of himself from the original trilogy. He actually felt like a human being here, which is probably why his death hit so hard, AND which is a problem I hadn’t even thought about when watching those first 3. Him and Leia felt like they had a REAL genuine connection, and weren’t forced together. I know Harrison Ford probably didn’t wanna be there, but he did an absolutely fantastic job as Han. THIS is how I’ll Han Solo.

Speaking of of Han’s family, let’s talk Kylo Ren. I have the upmost respect towards J.J. Abrams and Lawrence Kasdan for doing something unique with the villain, and not making him evil “just because” like most of the the other villains. I mean think about it, Palpatine, Darth Maul, Count Dooku, ect. None of those characters have actual reasons for why they are the way they are. For Kylo though, he became obsessed with the stories about Vader, and strives to be as strong as him. It’s clear that he’s still immature (you can tell by his temper tantrums lol), but I think that fits his character well. He never finished his training with Luke, and chose the path of hate and selfishness. It fits well imo, and I like his design and voice while he’s wearing his helmet a lot. Cool character, I’m excited for his development.

I wanna touch oh the mix of digital and physical effects here, cause there 100% was physical puppets and stuff, just most of it was CGI. But I can’t even complain, because the CGI is FANTASTIC. Absolutely breath taking the scale and beauty of this movie. Genuinely such a wonder to watch, because everything looks amazing. Yes there may be a shot or two that I think looked a tiny bit odd, but other than that it was absolutely stunning. The Star Wars world has never looked so interesting to me before.

The score is also incredible! The music glides into every scene so genuinely beautifully, I have no notes. I loved how this movie sounded, but I think that’s a given for most Star Wars movies lol.

I wanna speak more about seeing the classic characters, because I feel like many people don’t realize how important they are. Yes obviously they’re partially there to bring in old fans, at least I’m pretty sure-. But they also genuinely add things to the plot. It’s not just a cameo, these are actual characters who do important things in the movie. They have a legacy, so why not use it? To me, it’s a smart and enjoyable move to see these characters from so long ago on the screen again, doing things besides speaking a couple lines 😭.

Rey is interesting to me, because I think it was a bit weird how she just kinda suddenly had the force. But it makes some sense, I mean she’s been stuck on that dessert planet for most of her life, and probably barely ever dealt with any danger. So to suddenly be being hunted by the first order, come close to death dozens of times, and be betrayed by someone she thought was part of the rebellion (only for a little bit, but still), feels like it’s enough for the force to finally activate. I didn’t like how quickly she figured it out, but it was only like ONE Jedi mind trick, and she struggled with it a couple times before she got it right, so I don’t mind all that much.

And finally, let’s talk the final battle. An absolutely visually stunning fight that was a joy to watch. I like the new way they did lightsaber fighting here. It still FEELS like lightsaber fighting, while also taking a slightly more grounded and realistic approach. They did a mix of real and fantasy if you will, and it works fantastically. They used the force so well in this movie, mainly Kylo ren. Wtf do you MEAN HE STOPPED A LASER FROM A LASER BLASTER, HELD IT IN PLACE FOR PROBABLY UPWARDS OF 5 MINUTES, AND DIDNT STRUGGLE AT ALL??? It was great, and showed that Kylo isn’t just a bratty wannabe, and could genuinely kill the main characters. He’s an actual treat, and I really enjoyed how much of his story we got here.

Overall, I’m willing to it that this movie probably isn’t actually better than revenge of the sith, but I had so much fun with it that it’s probably my favorite now 😭🙏. A fun action packed ride, filled with all sorts of things for Star Wars fans to enjoy. It’s a great movie imo, and I’m excited to see the rest of this final trilogy.

Wow. Just, wow. What a fantastic, enjoyable, action packed thrill ride this movie was.

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is 100% the best Star Wars movie I’ve seen so far. They do EVERYTHING right in this movie. At no point was I bored, or ready to move on, or felt as though a scene could be cut or changed. None of that. This movies plot, acting, story, pacing, cgi, practical effects, and everything in between was fantastic. I genuinely was super worried this was gonna be an overhyped version of the first 2, just with a cool fight scene in the end. But I couldn’t be more wrong.

One thing I HAVE to give its own section to in this review is the soundtrack. They do so many amazing little things here it’s genuinely baffling how a STAR WARS movie gave me goosebumps. Seeing Ani’s face go pale and evil, a stare filled with hate and anger, while also some fear mixed in looking at the camera, while the imperial march plays in the background is just AGAHAGAJAGSHS. It’s incredible, it truly is.

I literally can’t split everything into different sections here, because everything is so genuinely perfect. The lightsaber fighting is probably the best it will ever be. Both parties using the force in the coolest ways they can WHILE fighting and just in general is amazing aswell, super happy to see that. I felt throughout most the series the useage of the force was a bit lackluster, and more of a “trust in yourself” thing. But this movie very clearly changed that, and I couldn’t be happier.

What else can I even say? This movie is genuinely amazing, and it’s crazy how it follows 2 of the worst in the franchise (so far. And those two aren’t bad movies by any means! They just have the most glaring issues to me. Also keep in mind I haven’t watched the sequels yet, and I know those will definitely be worse than the 2 I’m talking about right now.)

In conclusion, best starwars movie hands down. Without a doubt in my head, greatest one. Nothing can change my mind.

This movie is JUST like the first one. Great actors, interesting plot, suringly well done CGI, and a runtime that makes me cringe slightly.

So yeah, this movie has the same issue as the first. IT’S SO DAMN LONG. And I usually like longer movies, but with these it’s just hard to stay interested sometimes. Now don’t get me wrong, that doesn’t affect most of my enjoyment for the movie. I just think there’s some things that could be cut or changed to be shorter. Or hell, even combined together to make it flow better.

Other than the runtime though, this movie was great! I love how Obi and Ani feel much more like an actual duo in this one. Though maybe that’s because Qui Gon spent so much time away from Obi in the first one.

And as I previously mentioned, the CGI is fantastic. This movie releasing in 2002 is INSANE. Comparing it to movies like Spider-Man which came out the same year is crazy, because it’s insane. And not to say Spider-Man’s effects are bad, just they used more practical stuff in that film, which could honest to god mean it’s a bit better, but that’s a discussion for another day.

I think the giant fucking clone army deserves a shout out here, because how the FUCK do you even do that in 2002??? HOW?? Incredible work from the animators here, absolutely incredible.

Ani feels sort of odd in this movie. I’m indifferent about him to be honest. I like his character, I just don’t see how people idolize him like he’s some sort of god among all the Star Wars characters. I’m confident his story leading into him becoming Vader will leave an effect on me though.

Overall, great movie with some issues that stick out a little too much when you’re actually watching it. I hope the next one can break that curse, and either keep me entertained for those 2+ hours, or shorten the runtime, because I don’t think these movies NEED to be 2 hours long.

A surprisingly good movie, with a great cast, great action, and an interesting plot. What more could you ask from a movie?

In all seriousness, even I knew before watching this one it wouldn’t be perfect. My expectations were pretty low thanks to word of mouth.

But I gotta say, I really did enjoy this movie! It was entertaining, the characters felt real and interesting, that final fight with darth maul was incredibly well choreographed and so well done, and so on.

I will say that I think it drags a little bit in the second hour, at least until we get to the finale that is. A shorter run time might have been the way to go with this one, but I’m happy with what it ended up being! I’m excited too see episodes 2 & 3!

And yes, I know this review is shorter than most. This isn’t because of a lack of appreciation for the movie, it’s because of a lack of sleep. Which I’m going to be doing right now. Goodnight everyone

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU, FUCK YOU. IT WAS GOOD! IT WAS A GOOD MOVIE!

I literally KNEW this movie wouldn’t be as bad as everyone said it was gonna be. I had faith, and it paid off. Because this movie was EXACTLY what it needed to be. It’s MINECRAFT FOR FUCKS SAKE. It’s about creativity, and fun, and laughing with your friends over dumb stuff. And they nailed that feeling PERFECTLY with this movie.

I seriously don’t care if shitty movie critic number 890 with a goose themed discord server thinks otherwise (I think only me and a few others will understand what I meant there, but whatever). This movie was MINECRAFT. Copied the game almost exactly, made me laugh my ass off multiple times, and made me smile more times then I can count. Pure dumb fun. God forbid a movie isn’t super serious, and has a huge plot with intersecting story lines, and a huge finale where characters die or whatever the fuck people want for some reason.

Jack Black absolutely KILLED IT as Steve. Funniest character of the movie for sure. My theater was literally filled with people who clapped and cheered at the memes. Chicken Jockey, I am Steve, Flint and Steel, They love crushin loaf, everything. The theater experience was so great man, 100% in my top 3 theater experiences of all time. Also just wanna add, I loved the songs. Feel like it fits cause most were made by Jack himself. Genuinely just a lot of fun, and honest to god the lava chicken one is REALLY catchy and hasn’t left my head.

Every other actor was great of course, especially Jason Momoa’s character, WHICH btw, him and Steve= Yoai. I shit you not.

The CGI was good. Idc what anyone thinks, it was good. It has charm, and they VERY CLEARLY spent time on it. Hell, even the cows have grown on me 😭.

While I wish we got more scenes of it, the Jennifer Cooladge and NitWit side plot was so funny. Idc how un-important to the plot it is, it’s fun. And once again, that’s what this movie and the actual game is supposed to be. And that mid credits scene..literally top 5 moments of the movie.

Overall, this movie was everything I hoped for it to be. A fun, silly, and hilarious movie. Filled with call backs, stuff from the games, Easter eggs, and more. Fuck everyone who genuinely was upset with me and told me I was dumb for thinking this looked like fun, because at the end of the day people are enjoying it. And that’s the best feeling. Knowing that I ended up being right. You’re shitty judgement because you have “Nostalgia” isn’t gonna change that. >:)

Review number: 59

This is 100% without a doubt in my mind, the BEST movie of the original three. It feels like literally every. single. thing, was perfected or done better then the previous two movies here, and I will stand by that claim.

There is ONE issue I have with the movie. There are times where you can very clearly tell the background is a green screen, or that some of the characters are (drumroll please)…………..bad cgi!! duh duh duhhhhhhhhhhhh

But honest to god, it’s REALLY not that big of a deal. Not by a long shot. It was most likely amazing at the time, considering this is once again, a movie from the 80’s. Absolutely outstanding work on the puppetry, and stop motion animation here. Probably the best I’ve seen from any movie.

The pacing was VERY well done here. I hadn’t really realized it, but the pacing of the last two movies was a little bit odd at times. I won’t be changing my reviews or anything, because I still stand by what I said in those reviews. Great movies, this one’s just a bit better!

So in the end, I’m happy I’ve decided to watch these films. And I still have..6 more to go. And that’s if I ONLY watch the main storyline movies. I wanna watch some spin offs aswell, just incase. But it’s a no go on the shows for me. Too long, and also I don’t feel like trying to understand where all that is gonna be placed-.

But hey! Might play that triple A Star Wars game (forgot the name), cause it’s on my ps5 !….for some reason-.

Anyways, here’s a real thing I said while watching the movie that I feel I should share as the last part of this review. *ahem*

So I don’t wanna give this movie a PERFECT score, because this isn’t a perfect movie. I could argue that at some point it may have been a bit slow..but then again, that’s my ONLY issue with this movie. Everything else was either just as great as the original, or even done better!

To Start, I’d say the story was a bit more action focused this time around. With the beginning, middle, and end all having big action sequences. This isn’t a bad thing though! Not only are these scenes interesting, they’re VERY well made for the time. It’s not as shocking this time around because I’ve already seen the first movie, but that doesn’t take away from the fact these movies are dozens of years old, and arguably still hold up to this very day. You can see in some scenes (Mainly the beginning), that some stuff is pretty obviously fake, but they MORE then make up for it with the big action sequences, and the actual settings of the film.

I also felt a little bit more comedy in this one, but not enough to make it feel super different from the original. Still felt like a true sequel, and maybe even better than the original.

Im kinda just realizing it, but im happy Chewbacca felt a LOT more like an actual character in this one, rather then some fill in spot, not that it felt that way in the original, its just done a lot better here!

On that topic, all of the reactions to deaths and such felt pretty real here! My only main issue with the first movie was that, so I’m happy to see that they noticed and decided to make it a bit more dramatic! (Looking at you MARK. Seriously, why did he scream like that-)

I don’t have a whole lot to say, because I’ve basically already said most of it in my first review and here, which isn’t a bad thing surprisingly! It’s usually a bad thing to me when sequels feel pretty similar to the original, but this one finds a good balance between bringing back something older, and doing something new with it, if that makes sense-.

So I’ve FINALLY decided to bite the bullet, and watch the Star Wars movies. Pretty ballsy considering I’m also watching breaking bad, but I can make it work. Sort of embarrassing to it, but I didn’t come here to judge so whatever, but I’m honest to god only watching these NOW because the next Fortnite season is Star Wars themed lmao-. Anyways, to the review!

THIS MOVIE WAS MADE IN 1977???? HELLO??? HOW???

This film is GENUINELY able for a late 90’s movie, and I mean that wholeheartedly. The visuals here are absoLUTELY incredible! I was honest to god expecting these to look pretty bad, but I was humbly and happily proved wrong.

I’ve decided to rate this one so high, because there’s only a few issues I have with it. Everything else is honest to god really great! There’s some oddities, some weird choices for reactions from the characters, and maybe a plot hole or two, but it really doesn’t take away from the actual viewing of the movie. It’s still a lot of fun to watch! The story kept me interested, the acting was a lot better then I was expecting, hell, I’d even say I understand now why this movie was such a success back when it first came out, this was 100% revolutionary for the time!

Overall, great film, excited for the other 2 original ones! Gonna be watching these in release order, cause I feel I’ll get a better understanding of what’s exactly happening if I watch these first. I tried watching the phantom menace, and was just kinda lost-. So I switched to this fairly quickly, and I’m happy I did!

While I can’t give it 5/5 because it’s not exactly perfect-, it’s a really great film, and I’m really happy I chose to watch it! :3

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR BREAKING BAD SEASON 4

Review number: 56

Hello, I’d like to take back the completely idiotic statement I made in my last review (which btw I somehow made less then a week ago), about season 3 being this shows peak, because WHAT THE FUCK.

I mean this in the most genuine way possible, Vince Gillian is an all time show creator. I mean that. Because somehow each time you watch a new season or hell, even episode, it gets you. And it gets you GOOD. I wanna specifically point out the end to episode 11, because that..oh my god that music, the vibe, the acting, all incredibly perfect. Genuinely perfect. I cannot believe how amazing this show genuinely has been and continues to be. 100% gonna watch El Camino. Better call Saul? Eh, not so much, lol. It just doesn’t seem as appealing unfortunately, but maybe I’m just crazy.

Anyways, point being this season was fantastic. Any episode, genuinely great. Also had almost all of the best moments of the series. I can promise you that. Please watch this show if you haven’t, because I whole heartedly, genuinely mean it when I say that this show is one of the best made pieces of media of all time.

Also just wanna add, WALTER. WHAT THE FUCK. WHHAAAAGAYSHAHATAHAHAAHATAHAHAGAHA WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU MEAN YOU DID IT?? (Out of context spoilers to the very end, you’ll understand if you watch it ;])

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR BREAKING BAD SEASON 3

Review number: 55

So while this one did take me a bit longer to watch (been sick, busy, ect), this is 100% without a single doubt in my mind most likely where this show peaks. The story is interesting and gripping in such a phenomenally done way, the characters are all interesting and special, proving their worth every time they’re on screen, and so much more. I can and probably will say a lot about his show or more specifically this season in this review, I highly recommend just checking out the series yourself on Netflix, because it’s such a joy to watch. It somehow manages to make itself so emotionally gripping when the important scenes come up, and gripping as they can be, but they make it sudden. You don’t EXPECT to feel the way you do when one scene or another pop up, you just do. This season is built off of that, and I’m all here for it. So much fun, so much suspense, and so much intimidation from Gus fring, Mike, and more. Also just wanna say that I love how involved Skyler is getting in Walter’s life 😭. I find it funny cause she just feels off in that position, in a good way of course.

But yeah, please check out the show if you haven’t. I promise you it really is as good as people say it is. Wonderfully shot, written, scripted, ect.

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR BREAKING BAD SEASON 2

Review number: 54

This season steps up everything the first did in every way. The action, the suspense, the budget, hell they even had more episodes!

But my main point is, it was phenomenal. Breaking bads story really isn’t just about Walter. It’s about Flynn, Skyler, Jesse, Hank, and ect. It expands itself and it does so without feeling too bloated and overstuffed. I can only assume it felt so great because there isn’t any characters that are boring to be with. It’s interesting no matter who you shove the cameras face in.

The only real gripe I can think of is wishing we had more time to spend with Jane. While her death was still impactful, it felt like (at least for me) we didn’t know her all that well besides that she was in rehab, liked art, and that her dad was kinda strict. So it was hard for me to be super duper affected by her death. I will say Aaron Paul’s acting was INCREDIBLE. Probably one of the best performances I’ve ever seen from an actor. He plays Jesse so well throughout the entire series. I’d even argue I’m more interested in what happens with him than Walt at times. Sort of a 50/50 split if you will.

Other than that, I don’t have much to say. Absolutely incredible all around, highly recommend checking this show out if you haven’t seen it already, it truly deserves all the hype it gets!

THIS IS A REVIEW FOR BREAKING BAD SEASON 1

So I’ve actually watched all of breaking bad before, but it was about 2-3 years ago now, and a LOT has happened since then, so I’ve forgotten basically everything. In turn, I’ll basically have a brand new watching experience, so fun for me!

Anyways, this is a pretty strong start to what i being a great series. It’s a story about a once weak but good man, becoming the opposite. Strong, but morally corrupt and evil. You can see that a lot throughout this season, and him going bald really sets it in that he’s not going back on his choices. It’s also very clear he’s not ONLY doing this for the money for his family, he’s also doing it (I think) because it’s such a sudden change of pace from his normal life. He has lung cancer, and he knows how bad it is. So naturally, or..NOT so naturally, he cooks meth- 😭. Like I said, big change of pace and everything he’s done his entire life, so it makes sense WHY he’s doing this. Both for the thrill, and to help his family. Though later down the line it might turn more for the thrill if I correctly.

I think this series thrives so much every year thanks to its gritty and realistic tone. It feels like all of this could actually happen, nothing here is to far fetched. I put “to” in bold cause we’re talking about a chemistry teacher with cancer cooking meth-.

One of my favorite parts of the show so far is seeing Walter basically break down from his innocent and kind persona he had for so many years. He starts leaning into intrusive thoughts, doing things that he probably never would’ve done before, and so on. He slowly evolves this season alone into someone more grounded, less innocent, a little tougher you could say. It’s just interesting, and I’m excited to see it expand out more as the seasons progress.

Overall, as I’ve said before, a strong start! I’m excited to see where the story continues (even though I already kinda know-).

DOGMAN SWEEP DOGMAN SWEEP DOGMAN SWEEP-

Anyways, yeah this movie was so genuinely amazing and sweet. As someone who grew up reading captain underpants and dogman, it was kinda a no brainer I was gonna HAVE to watch this one when it came out. And I’m happy with what it turned out to be! It’s a fun, silly, soul filled film that I think parents and kids can find enjoyment in.

When Pete Davidson was announced to be playing petey, I was very skeptical about it, I for some reason couldn’t see it working in my head. I can 100% say after watching the movie though, he’s literally perfect. Maybe even born for the roll. I don’t understand HOW, but he was perfect.

Similar to that, the story here was basically a 1 to 1 of the books, with some VERY small tweaks here and there. Such as how dogmans house looks, and chiefs office being a little different. But that’s besides the point. The story was exactly what it needed to be, perfectly representing how the actual books are structured. Having re occurring deeper themes, which we’ll talk more on later.

Wanna give comedy its own little section here, cause it was very surprisingly REALLY good. Yet again perfectly capturing the charm of the books, and putting them on the big screen. Genuinely expected mostly fart jokes, but there was a surprising lack of those. There was one I can think of, but I’m happy it was included cause I don’t think it’d be a Dav Pilkey inspired movie without one.

Onto those “deeper themes” I talked about a couple sentences ago. Incase you haven’t read the books, Dogman books are far from just kids books. Every book..maybe expect for the first two, have an underlying theme. Abandonment, forgiving others and letting go of your hate, realizing it’s okay to not be perfect, as long as you’re doing your best, and so on. Since this literally was THE Dogman movie, it was bound to cover some of those things. And while I may say that the film doesn’t capture it exactly as good as the books do, the message is still there and decently well represented. It may seem hard to believe that these books actually have substance, and lessons to teach younger audiences, or hell, even teens and adults to be quite honest..but it’s true. Don’t believe me? READ THE BOOKS!

The animation was great, voice acting was great, story, music, jokes, ect. All of this movie was so genuinely great. And while it may suffer from some of the things that come from being a kids movie, it perfectly adapts everything important and special about the books I’ve grown up reading and loving. That means a lot, and I’m more then happy to give this one all the stars it deserves :)

Oh and by the way..PETEY AND DOGMAN ARE GAY. GAY AS FUCK. GAYEST GAY GUYS OF ALL TIME GAYS EVER.

I had to watch this one more time before my rent time for it ran out, and I realized a couple things while watching it.

1: The story is a lot more straightforward and obvious the second time you watch it. This doesn’t take away the impact it has on you though.

2: After bill is allowed to leave the hospital near the end, everything suddenly becomes more detailed, more realistic, and so on. I think this represents him now seeing the world for how beautiful it is in his final days. It gets foggy and blurry sometimes, but it overall stays the same.

3: I believe the dream he has when sleeping at the motel about the cars represents his brain. Those cars are actually memories, and the ocean is his brain. Everytime the cars headlights shine, it’s a moment where he thinks about those memories. They slowly get dimmer, before eventually going out. I think this represents his dementia taking effect, making him forget these things.

Just some stuff I noticed on my rewatch. Considered putting this movie in my top 5, but I want to think about it for a little bit longer. Sad I won’t be able to watch it more, because I would if I could.

This review is dedicated to the only person who makes me feel alive. Lilith Pierrottie.

Review number: 50.

“The ing of time is just an illusion, because all of eternity is actually taking place at once”

I really don’t know how to start off to be honest, as cliche (I think) as that sounds. But my mind chooses to confuse itself here. I struggle to write this one because my mind goes to so many different places all at once. But I guess it clears eventually.

To me, bill is real. Bill is life. Bill to me is a way to express things that happen to people who aren’t normal, or maybe he’s what happen to people who are normal, I’m not sure. They couldn’t have done anything better for the visuals and music here, this is the most touching and impacting way they could’ve possibly made this movie feel. Is movie the right word? I don’t think this media fits into the category of “movie”, at least in the normal way of thinking about movies. I think that this is art in its purest form. Combing all the types of art together, to tell the story of bill. I enjoy that it’s un-clear what happens at the ending, I enjoyed that I got to come to my own conclusions and interpret this story in my own way. Getting to put my experiences into this and finding comfort that someone else, or something else could feel the same. I can be told that people go through the same, but how am I to know that? I’m not others. This art makes me sad, at least at first glance. It reminds me I will die, that people around me will die, and that maybe I’m not as sane as I think. But it also comforts me. It gives me things to relate to, aswell as telling me things so that I can maybe have a chance of not experiencing bills story as bad as he had. Reality around me is what my brain and eyes perceive it as, so what do I know? I don’t know much other then what my brain has been told. But I think that I am okay, and I think I’m not that crazy. Maybe I can live with that, while also using this experience of viewing bills story to better my own story. I understand why Lilly loved this film so much. It makes you question, and try to come up with answers to life’s questions by showing you beautiful things.

My head is foggy after watching this one, I won’t lie. This review may only make sense to me now, but I think that’s okay. Truly a film everyone needs to watch. It tells you things and shows you things you need to hear and see, no matter who you are. How you take these things is up to you.

Yk perhaps this movie has a little too much rotting corpse sex for my tastes, but it definitely wasn’t terrible.

All jokes aside, Nosferatu is a very..interesting movie. To say the least of course. It can be slow in some parts, and a lot of times speak in completely different languages and not provide subtitles-. But it’s definitely worth the watch if you’re a fan of thrillers, horror movies, or just wild bat shit crazy movies, because Nosferatu fits under all of those categories.

To start with what I enjoyed, the cinematography was AMAZING. My favorite has to be the scene in the forest with the four different pathways, and the horse carriage. Iykyk. Along with it being visually stunning, the effects were fantastic aswell. Really stunning and shocking things in this one, mainly that shot in the ending where Count Orlock (hopefully I didn’t butcher that name-) was dying, and his mouth just starts elongating and deforming, before he just crumbles over dead. I’ll stop rambling about it now because I have other stuff to talk about in the review-. Other than what I just listed, there wasn’t much else I could grasp onto. The story however was pretty great. I know it was mostly if not fully taken from the original, but I’ll give credit here and say that any changes they made were most likely for the better.

To start with negatives, as I’ve already mentioned, there wasn’t a whole lot to grasp onto about this movie. I didn’t find myself caring about if the characters died or not, or what happened to them at all to be honest. I also didn’t like how we spent little to no time inside of the castle. Genuinely annoys me they made it a “confusing dream like sequence”, instead of a realistic approach on it. Feels lazy to me when people do that, as visually stunning and spooky as they can be, I don’t like when movies do stuff like that. Also as I’ve mentioned before, the movie does drag a little bit, I think an hour and a half would’ve suited this movie a lot better than two whole hours.

While interesting, Nosferatu lacks in some parts, but also manages to do pretty well in others. It’s sort of confusing, but manages to explain itself decently well. Now we just need NosferaTWO, where orlock comes back to life and defeats his evil twin brother, Dracula. And then there’s a post credit scene where Orlock meets some guy with an eyepatch who tells him about “The avengers initiative”.

This is my SPOILER review of the entire first season. And also my first review of 2025 (Yay! :D)

Decided to do this based on seasons instead of ranking each individual episode, so let’s start!

Wow. This show is SERIOUSLY so smart in so many ways. It explains everything that it needs too, and leaves room for not only interpretation, but also for what else they want the story to tell in seasons 2 and 3. I watched the English dub, and I just wanna point out how great the dub is for this show. I really don’t care what anyone says, it’s great. The best I’ve ever seen tbh. But the characters wouldn’t have life without their actual actors. They did such an amazing job portraying sadness, guilt, sorrow, pain, ect. The characters were definitely the highlight of the show. Each and every character all being unique, and likeable in their own ways. My favorite was 067, she was just the coolest there tbh. I hope she somehow survived because they CANT just kill off a character as interesting and unique as hers. Also just wanna mention how the show has some of the best suspenseful moments I’ve seen in any piece of media EVER. I already knew how it ended cause I watched it back when it first came out, but I was still genuinely nervous in a lot of parts. That’s how good they made this show. The sub plot with Hwang Jun-ho was genuinely great. It was just as interesting to me as the main plot, and I’m VERY happy with how it all played out. I’m a big fan of how the pacing in the show is aswell. I HIGHLY recommend watching the whole show at once. It flows better that way imo, and you really feel like you’ve been stuck in the games just as long as the actual characters were ( the about 10 hour run time probably helps with that-).

I could ramble and rant about how great, unique, creative, and well made this first season of squid games is, but I think most have watched it by now and understand exactly what I’m so pleased about with this show. Gonna watch the second season aswell! See you all again in that review! :3 BYEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Anyone who SOMEHOW hates these movies just can’t have fun imo. I think it could just be the younger me from like 12 years ago now that loves this franchise, but I doubt it.

First of all, this was a Sonic movie. What do I mean? Well, this movie FELT like a Sonic movie. The game accuracy was literally insane, and has me so hyped for Sonic 3, which I’ve seen some people call “The most accurate video game movie EVER”. I loved literally all of this one, I could care less about being professional. Just a fun, silly, insanely accurate video game movie that dives deep down into the strings of my heart and pulls on them deeply. I’m way too excited for Sonic 3, I genuinely cannot wait to see what they have in store..only about a week left. Man, I already know that reviews gonna be LONG. This was no way home levels of hype for me when it first came out, seeing super Sonic AND shadow in the theater was so insane man. I love this movie to death, idc if it’s childish, or has some unfunny jokes, or whatever anyone wants to say. Such a fun movie, need to rewatch every year tbh

I feel like a lot of people are way too harsh on this movie, ESPECIALLY annoying ass Sonic fans on Twitter lmao 😭😭. It has a lot of charm, and is in my book pretty damn re watchable.

So when it comes to Sonic, a lot of people bash on him and his character claiming he just acts like a kid, makes unfunny jokes, ect. Well I’m here to tell you HE IS A KID. Thats the whole point of character development, and sometimes it takes multiple movies to get there. Here though, it’s pretty visible how his character changes over time. He clearly become more grown up by the end of things. Also, the jokes seriously weren’t that bad. I think Ben Schwartz’s line delivery helped them a lot, and Jim Carrey did what he did best (per usual). The plot itself was (while basic) overall enjoyable, and Sonic design was great too. I’d even argue better then the games in some ways..but I digress, a fun, silly little movie that manages to perfectly encapsulate what I love about sonic. They went all in for his speed in this one, I’m a big fan of the highway chase where he literally skates on some of the robots, feels so much like the games to me. I could honestly go on for hours, but I’ll cut it short and mention one last thing-. The human characters were enjoyable, which is rare for a film like this.

Sometimes it feels like Sonic fans don’t even like Sonic tbh- 😭. Cause this movie was a lot of fun, and I liked rewatching it to be quite honest. Also, I started rewatching these cause I’m gonna see Sonic 3 in a couple days, and I’m VERY excited. People are saying it feels more like a movie for young adults, besides some and I quote “cringy” jokes. I’ll be the judge of that though.

Anyways, in conclusion: Fun little movie, rewatchable and enjoyable, and very game accurate. And it only gets better from here with these

Review number: 44

I have WAY to much to say about this one, so hopefully I’m able to get it all in here-

I have a deep history with this one if that makes any sort of sense-. I’ve probably seen it about 50 times give or take as a kid, and absolutely LOVED this film. It has something that absolutely everyone can enjoy, no matter how old, smart, or how much of a film critic you are.

Firstly, the comedy is clearly what helped this movie do so well. While I would say it gets a LITTLE slow in act 2 of the film, there’s still jokes there that made me laugh too. But acts 1 and 3 absolutely nail it with these jokes. Barley any film recently has made me genuinely laugh at loud, so this was refreshing as all hell for me. Another thing I loved is the story. You know how I said that act 2 feels somewhat lacking of jokes? Well, that’s because they sort of take a quick backseat so we can get some more of that super interesting story that they had been setting up since the beginning. Act 1 feels like it’s setting up stuff, but mostly wanting to entertain with jokes and some good action aswell! Act 2 does basically the opposite, not having as many jokes, but keeping the action up in a good way! And act 3 is an absolutely perfect blend of the first two acts. It makes the comedy and the story stick out in such an amazing way. It’s so blatantly obvious why this movie is a cult classic that has seemingly been “milked to death” as people put it. One thing I found fun even though it doesn’t take away from the movie or add to it at all is the fact that I’ve watched this movie so many times, certain lines and scenes were embedded into my brain that i COMPLETELY forgot about. This especially applies for the beginning. I just wanted to include that honestly, cause it was fun ing all of stuff that makes this film so great. Also I NEED to mention how amazing the sets are here. I specifically wanna point out how realistic the bottom of the building with the huge crowd around it feels. Just something about it makes it feel insanely real to me, which also makes it interesting. But I also need to mention the ghostbusters HQ ofc, and also ontop of the building in the final act aswell. Basically just everywhere honestly-. It all looks amazing. Speaking of looking amazing..the special affects. Y’know, for a movie that came out in the late 80’s, THIS MOVIE LOOKS FUCKING INSANE. Oh my GOD the effects were great here. I can only name a SINGLE scene where it was kinda obvious that the he’ll hound..dog..ghost thingys-, were claymation. But it was mostly because that thing was under a massive ass light. Other then that, this movies effects manage to hold up TO THIS DAY. It’s insane to me how good they look. Also, casting was perfect. All the actors did such an amazing job at their roles that I literally can’t even begin to imagine someone else playing these characters.

And for the complaints..I don’t have any. This movie was honestly just a big fun ride that didn’t struggle to make sense. It was fun, had an interesting story and characters, great effects, sets, music, and so much more.

Even on my trillionth rewatch of this movie, it’s still a personal favorite of mine, and deserves every ounce of love and praise it gets.

This movie is definitely the PERFECT movie to sum up this entire franchise. Nudity, gore, crazy ass kills, and an insane ending that is one of my favorite endings to any horror movie I’ve ever seen.

One thing I noticed is that this movie is both the dumbest out of the original 4, and the smartest aswell. Some of the characters did some dumbass things in this one 😭. But I also say it’s the smartest since Tommy made sure to double tap Jason’s ass to make sure he was dead for real. Speaking of being dead, oh my GOD this movie had some insane ass kills. The harpoon to the dick has to be my favorite, but the bottle opener one was so sudden i might like it a little more. This one was also easily the most interesting to me, the fact it wasn’t just at some big camp site with a lake was such a needed breath of fresh air. And also, THEY FINALLY CHANGED THE MUSIC. THANK YOU. Also, I think I need to emphasize how much nudity is in this one-, cause it’s a LOT. Only boobs though, cause of course it’s only boobs. Also, I just wanna point out how great Jason’s death ended up being. Not only was he sideways swiped in the face by his weapon of choice (the machete), he then fell down AND HIS FUCKING HEAD SLID DOWN, CUTTING HIS FACE EVEN MORE OPEN. It was so cool, seriously such a way to end the beginning of this franchise. I really do think this was supposed to be the end, I mean of course it was-, it’s called the final chapter for a reason. But I’m also happy it didn’t end here, because Jason is genuinely such an interesting character. He was especially menacing and brooding in this one. He felt like a TANK compared to everyone else. I will say that it was kinda hard to hear what people were saying sometimes in this one-. I mean every Friday movies audio hasn’t been the greatest, but I could at the very least understand 95% of it. In this one, I had to rewind a couple times to understand what the characters had said, but that’s probably just the streaming services issue, not the film itself. Also just wanted to throw in that this one had THE BEST opening of any Friday film. Playing back the scene from part 2 where they’re all around the campfire, explaining the legend of Jason, while clips from the previous 3 movies play is SO unique, and it’s so well done too.

Overall, this film took everything I thought was great about part 3, made it better, and fixed the shit that it did wrong too. This is THE Friday the 13th for me. And I’m glad I finally finished up these ones :)

What REALLY pisses me off with this one is that it could’ve EASILY been the best out of the original 3, if a lot of it wasn’t just copy and paste of what the second one did.

This one is actually my favorite out of the 3, but I can’t ignore the glaring issues here, especially because this is a review, and I’m not really supposed to be biased, sooo-.

To start with the negatives just to get them out of the way, there are so many things that this movie does that is literally just what the second one did. The fact that both parts 2 and 3 take place not at camp crystal lake, but at some other place located in the woods close by to camp crystal lake sucks, because it’s not the only thing they re use / re do. One thing I’ve noticed is these movies have had THE SAME FUCKING SOUNDTRACK, IN ALL THREE OF THEM. I swear I’m not crazy, watch them. You’ll understand. Basically, my main gripes are that it feels like it’s a big copy and paste of the second one..but it’s not entirely copied off of the second.

To start with some more positive stuff, I literally NEED to mention the gore and kills here, because the step up from parts 1-2 too 3 is like night and day. Massive props to the effects team of this film, because they did such an amazing job at making almost every single kill memorable. I also like that I could actually tell the characters apart in this one 😭. It was a big issue for me in part 2 that I didn’t mention, but a lot of the characters felt the same all throughout, so it was kinda hard to tell who was who sometimes. This one was good on that part though! I also liked that the final girl here really didn’t give any fucks about Jason living. Like, in the previous 2 movies, the characters had opportunities to kill the people trying to kill them, but didn’t. Which I get, living with having killed a person is probably devastating. But the final girl here gave 0 fucks, she literally HUNG Jason. Which unfortunately (for her) didn’t kill him, but even after that she used an axe to give him that iconic ass axe mark on his hockey mask. Speaking of that, I freakin LOVE the way it’s introduced into the franchise. I thought Shelly was an interesting character, and to have Jason’s most iconic piece come from him is funny and also cool to me. I appreciate them actually giving it a reason instead of it being just because.

So yeah, I absolutely love this film, and think it’s probably the most rewatchable out of the first 3. But I can’t put aside the copy and paste aspect of it for this review, even if I really want too.

So I don’t wanna rate this one any higher then the first, because in a lot of ways both of them are the same. Nudity, scary killer we don’t get to see for most of the movie, decently done kills for the time that these movies were made in, ect. But in a lot of OTHER ways, this movie manages to outshine the first for me.

To start, I love some of the little details they put throughout the movie to explain things later on. Stuff like our final girls car having issues since the start of the movie, the fact they establish this takes place a couple years after the first, the fact the final girl believes the legends about Jason, it’s all just a really good way to explain things that happen later in the movie, then having them happen just because. Also, as great as Pamala was in the first movie, Jason is obviously going to outshine her in a lot of ways, mainly because he feels more twisted and scary, which is thanks to the movie constantly talking about how scary the concept of Jason actually being alive is for the people in that area. I will say this one felt like it had less significant kills. I don’t really know how to explain it, I kinda just think the first had some more pizzazz to it. I also liked that a lot of what the characters did felt realistic. It wasn’t over the top, and I could see people actually acting how these people did in this situation. Also just wanna say that having multiple characters survive makes it feel a LOT more realistic then having everyone die. Sometimes realism helps more then just shocking gore (which this movie was lacking on btw, not a whole lot of gore)

Overall, a little bit better than the first one, but I’d still put them on the same level overall. Classic horror movies that started off a VERY popular franchise. It’s crazy to me even after over a decade of not having any of these movies come out, Jason is still one of the most popular horror icons of all time. And for good reason too!

This movie was WAY less of a drag than I was expecting it to be. It was actually really good to be completely honest-

To start, I really appreciate all the effort that clearly went into making this film. It’s the start of a horror icon, and it’s a key staple in the series. I feel like people overlook this one, just because Jason isn’t in it. Which honestly isn’t fair, because Betsy Palmer does an AMAZING job at her role. Genuinely the best part of the movie imo, even with her short time on the screen. The effects were also really good too, specifically the one where the guy was hanging on the door (completely forgot his name, shut up). The last dozen minutes did feel like they kinda dragged a little bit, but BARLEY. Obviously the movie hasn’t aged perfectly, but it’s super underrated. As I’ve already said, this was the start to a legendary horror series, and it does a good job at introducing the tone of the franchise. It’s also just a good movie on its own lolz, I recommend it if you’re bored and need a good horror movie to watch!

In conclusion, great movie that somehow managed to spawn an entire franchise. Might watch again in a couple years

I really wanted to like this one, I REALLY did. But I don’t think Tim Burton is much of a sequel guy

To start, I think the humor was really good here. That was basically what carried the movie for me, because a couple of the jokes were genuinely funny. I also wanna say the acting was great! The original cast coming back was awesome to see, and Micheal Keaton killed it as Beetlejuice once again. I really liked how they explored more of the underowolrd in this one! It was fun to see all the stuff we really didn’t get to see in the original, even if it may not have been what was pictured when making the original.

Getting into the negatives..I have a lot to say. Firstly, I hated that Tim ONCE AGAIN tried to cram in as many plots as possible, and gave them lackluster endings. It was a problem with mars attacks, and it’s a problem here. Also wanted to say that that is NOT my Lydia. It doesn’t feel like her at all. I understand people might argue that as you get older, your personality changes and stuff, but this is a movie for fucks sake 😭, a Tim Burton one at that. They should’ve made her more like how she was in the first movie, regardless of age. Also, Jenna Ortega was not that great of a replacement for the roll of teenage goth girl. Maybe that’s not what they were going for? Idk, it just isn’t that great for me. Also I wanna name drop SPECIFICALLY Jenna’s plot of the film where she meets some weird murder ghost boy who tricks her into giving him her life. Because despite it being a MAJOR part of the movie, the murder boy literally just falls out of the movie, straight into hell. No I am not joking.

In conclusion, an underwhelming film that had lots of potential, but failed to live up to the original in any way shape or form. Tim, please don’t do sequels. Just stick to what you know best.

I’m super happy I followed up a bad Tim Burton film with one of his best, because I REALLY didn’t want mars attacks to leave a bad taste in my mouth

I really don’t wanna say TO much about this one, because I feel like what needs to be said, had already been said. So I’ll mostly just talk about my favorite parts

Micheal Keaton was definitely THE BEST choice to play Beetlejucie. I feel like the movie really wouldn’t have been as well known and loved as it is if he wasn’t casted. My favorite part of the film was definitely Lydia, just a fun character to follow honestly. Also, I’d die to be as cool as her. And like, a million other characters like her that I’d die to be-. Also, the plot was just really good too. Even after watching this movie like, 10 times, it holds up well!

My only complaint would be the ending honestly. I feel like they could’ve found a better way to defeat Beetlejucie at the end, but it wasn’t bad by any means! Just wish it was done a little different, that’s all.

Overall, great movie. No big issues, just wish some things were more expanded on/done differently.

This movie is one big mess. Not only did they try to cram in as many characters, plot lines, and very obviously fake cgi in as possible, but it all led to a very lackluster conclusion that had me disappointed.

To say some good stuff, the movie itself wasn’t necessarily boring, just kinda wasn’t very interesting either. I think the designs for the martains were good! And there was a couple jokes that were funny enough to be called good. But in all honesty, I can’t think of much else to say good about this film.

Now let’s get into the negatives. As I’ve previously mentioned, the ending was bad. It felt like it had a good idea with music frequency’s being the martains weekness, but it was set in place so suddenly. Barely any time was spent establishing this with every other plot line, it was just sort of put in there because other people figured it out. Also, there was a LOT of wasted potential with the actors, specifically Danny Devito and Jack black. Both characters with barely any screen time, who were killed off for no reason other then “haha funny”. Also wanna say that I was more annoyed than interested with all the plot lines. The most interesting one imo was the time spent with the president and his family. But of course, they all (except for the daughter) get killed off. Also, the movie dragged SO hard at the end. It felt more like 2 hours quite honestly.

Overall, one big mess of a movie that staples itself together with crappy green screen, wasted actors, a bad ending, and an overstuffed cast of characters that mostly end up dead in the end.

This movie is (like Texas chainsaw massacre) A what the fuck movie. But not for the same reasons.

First of all, the score was absolutely incredible. I loved every piece of music that was heard in this one, genuinely sounded so beautiful all throughout. Another amazing part was Johnny depp as Edward. Perfect casting in my eyes, I don’t see anyone who could play him better! The reason I say this movie is a “What the fuck” movie, is because of the concept alone. Jonny depp with scissors for hands falling in love with young Winona Ryder is the craziest movie plot I’ve ever heard. It feels like a fever dream to be honest, a really lucid one at that.

Overall, while not perfect, this movie is definitely a work of art, and I’m happy that I decided to throw it on my list last minute :)

This movie is an odd one. While it’s not bad, it’s not really that great either, but I can’t understand why I feel that way about it.

Going into some of the positives, the movie was really well shot. Not insane or anything, but nice to look at! Also, I think some people are misunderstanding what the actors were trying to do. The movie is supposed to feel off. Like things are confusing, scary, until it’s mostly al revealed at the end of the film. I think Nicholas Cage did a really good job at convincing us he was some sort of physco path/satan worshiper aswell. Considering the only other movie I can seeing him in was Willy’s Wonderland, he really did the best he could here. I also like that the devil is kind of the main villain in this movie. While yes, he’s only really seen through shadows and one singular voice clip (I loved the details of him being in the shadows by the way), he felt like more of a villain then long legs ended up feeling for me. Also, the music really helps some scenes in this movie. Again, nothing crazy or really note worthy, but still helps it when it needs to.

And as for the negatives..I don’t know honestly. I guess it’s just sort of..basic? Like what you picture when someone says “deep horror movie” I guess. Also, Nicholas Cages’s makeup was NOT scary. Like at all. Though it was pretty cool when he smashed his face against that table and died-.

Overall, sort of a mess. Not bad by any means, but not one I see myself going back to anytime soon.

One Crazy Summer 29c5r A Look Back at Gravity Falls, 2018 - ★★★★★ https://letterboxd.conexionsite.com/theowlnerd/film/one-crazy-summer-a-look-back-at-gravity-falls/1/ letterboxd-review-686658137 Mon, 7 Oct 2024 16:55:19 +1300 2024-10-06 Yes One Crazy Summer: A Look Back at Gravity Falls 2018 5.0 531326 <![CDATA[

You know, the shows I like are usually my all time favorites. If I don’t feel like I wanna cry, or don’t wanna rewatch it every couple months, it’s not that great of a show to me. And I can safely say Gravity Falls will be one of the best. In my top 3, next to murder drones and owl house lolz-.

But in all seriousness, season 2 changed up the show a lot, even if it doesnt seem like it did from a viewing stand point (I know that doesn’t make sense, just give me a second). I’m mainly talking about how far they leaned into the story here, and the irl mystery stuff too, which is mostly what they’re doing now with the book of bill. Btw, bill is a great villain. A TAD bit overrated i’d say..but maybe that’s just cause I haven’t read the previously mentioned book of bill. It felt like way less of a drag getting through all the episodes this season, even if one of them was double the length a normal episode is. Stanford’s introduction was incredible, sort of wish he had more screen time, but it’s perfect the way it is honestly. Also, did you guys know Jennifer Cooladge is lazy Susan? Had a heart attack a couple hours ago when finding that out-. Also, those two cops (you know which ones) are SO gay it’s not even funny 😭. I wish we lived in a world where Disney was a decent corporation, and allowed Alex to be as lgbtq representative as he wanted to be. Genuinely felt like character development went from 0 to 100 in between these seasons. It seriously feels like every single character had some sort of change, at least positive moment. They even redeemed fucking Gideon 😭. I could ramble for hours about how amazing this show is, but I’d rather finish this review up so HOPEFULLY someone else gets curious and decides to watch this silly little show :). This is gonna get rewatched SO much for the rest of my life.

(If it wasn’t obvious, this is a review for the actual show, specifically season 1)

I feel like gravity falls is like, the founding father of TV shows that go from silly filler episodes, to full on serious story with actual suspense, action, ect. AND I LOVE IT. I won’t lie, while it wasn’t bad AT ALL, the first few episodes kinda started off slow for me. Again they were good! Just a slow start is all. But the later episodes were literally chefs kiss worthy. The comedy was also on point! No joke ever made me cringe, so that’s a good sign! Seriously just an all around fun watch, it did take me 9 hours but it was worth it! Overall, a lot of fun. That ending scene had me SO excited for season 2. Might even have to buy some of the books after this not gonna lie-

While this movie may seem generic as of today’s standards, I can see why it’s so highly praised for what it’s supposed to be. A decent amount of the jokes got a good laugh out of me to be honest, I wish a couple more hit hard though. The plot itself is also pretty good! Generic, but the movie makes it feel unique in somehow. I’m glad I finally got around to watching it! Even if I did know the end-. But shush. No one has to know

This movie is the DEFINITION of a childhood movie that still hold up to this day.

Coraline sometimes feels like a fever dream to me. This movies stop motion is genuinely breathtaking, it’s hard for me to believe they seriously did this all by HAND. And the backgrounds, plus jsut art style seriously make this film look amazing, and also sort of makes your head hurt? In a good way ofc. The pacing is basically perfect for being a “kids” film. I put quotations because the other mother definitely gave at LEAST half the people who watched this nightmares. This movies aged like fine wine, 15 YEARS LATER, and it still holds up. I’m gonna do my best to watch this one every Halloween honestly, cause it’s seriously worth the watch.

I’m FINALLY starting my Halloween 2024 watch list! And..what a way to start off.

This movie needs to be preserved and saved so that people in the future can watch it and say, “What the fuck”. Texas Chainsaw Massacre has such a weird, off putting vibe to it throughout the entire film. Though that isn’t a bad thing, it makes this movie WORTH watching. Somehow the pacing is great, even though it had a slow start. The way this movie was shot, plus the added music and grainy camera footage make this movie so uncomfortable to watch. I can’t describe this movie other than the words “what the fuck”. It’s off putting, creepy, and has a fairly decent plot to hold itself up. I’m SO freakin happy I chose to watch it instead of cabin in the woods-. I now understand why Leather Face is such a horror icon.

Got the pleasure of watching this movie again. It was even better the second time. I seriously was looking forward to so much in this movie. And it not only RE delivered the experience of watching it for the first time again, it made it BETTER. The jokes just all made me laugh, the action was INSANE. The set designs were amazing, and the movie was just fun man. I seriously am gonna watch this movie so much when it comes out on digital. This movie is what i imagined it to be and more. And im so happy that i got to watch it one more time in theaters. 10/10 movie man, i love this one to death

I randomly discovered that this film was posted on YouTube by a lot of people, and I got curious. As someone who doesn’t know much about the Fantastic four, this movie sort of confused me. I know a decent amount, but still. Putting aside the poorly aged digital effects, the movies story itself was okay. Nothing to crazy or note worthy, though this is an older movie so it makes sense why it wouldn’t compare to a lot of the stuff we get today. I think that the story BEHIND this movie is more interesting than the actual movie, which says something. Despite all that, it’s not necessarily a BAD movie. Just one that aged pretty poorly. One thing I did think aged well was the thing. His suit in this film is really good for the year this movie was filmed! Really interesting stuff honestly. Also, doctor doom was pretty cool! I liked his suit, especially the mask and cape. Overall, a mixed ass bag of a superhero movie that has a more interesting backstory, then actual plot.
