Danielle Deadwyler can truly do anything. Her command of the screen is unreal and she elevates this to incredible heights. I think the structure is pretty well-worn (apocalyptic story about a family and the eldest child disobeys the parent leading to the apocalyptic Thing to infiltrate their space) but the performances and direction really sell it.

While “Mickey 17” certainly feels like director Bong Joon-ho’s biggest film yet, none of his style or sharp political and sociological commentary is lost in the process. Its world is as full of intrigue as it is hilarity. Robert Pattinson’s several performances can be considered among his best.
