“Thursday, October 31st. The cities are crowded for the holiday. Even with the rain. Hidden in the chaos is the element, waiting to strike like snakes. But I’m there too. Watching. Two years of nights have turned me into a nocturnal animal. I must choose my targets carefully. It’s a big city. I can’t be everywhere. But they don’t know where I am. We have a signal now. For when I’m needed. But when that light hits the sky, it’s…

“You can live wherever you want to live. Be whoever you want to be. You have time.”

An hour and forty minutes of brutally honest depression and how it affects those closest to us when we don’t tell them. I’m not one to normally talk about my problems with anyone often at all, even the people I’m closest to. So watching this, watching Calum pretend to be happy and perfect, was so painful and spoke to me on so many…

Best Picture: 25/97 - 49/194

This wasn't the greatest show at all, hell there have been multiple films based around performances from this marathon alone better than this. This is literally carried by James Stewart playing a clown doctor who's on the run from the FBI, but it can only make up for so much of an unnecessarily extended and dreadful runtime. He did his best and I respect him for it. Insane that this was made by the Ten Commandments guy, literally how because this was a joke.

While in the middle of my Best Picture marathon, I came across a few problems in selecting the extra movies I do in every year. I'd go and add in some movies from that year that hold my interest the most, and then choose one while usually watchlisting the others for later. This is the first case of me not being able to, as it was between a Wilder film or this, a Hitchcock film. I'm so glad I decided…

What in the actual fresh living fuck did I just watch, it’s as if this movie was made to make specifically me uncomfortable at every single scene, like an egg made me uncomfortable.

A lot of people have talked about how much they love the practical effects, the sound design, or even the stellar over the top acting. Something that I feel like a lot of people have not talked about with this movie however is the score, because it’s incredibly strange and fits greatly.

Possibly the most devastated I’ve been with a movie like this since Whisper of the Heart or Tale of Princess Kaguya. I’ve never gone through any of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s work before, but this hour long beauty has given me all the reason to do so now. Fuck, go watch this, any aspiring artist of any kind go see this now. This is no longer a request, it’s a demand.
