Solid Godzilla film, I liked that there is truly no 'villain' in this film since Mechagodzilla is used as a tool to defend humanity from the wrath of Godzilla and Rodan compared to the Showa era iteration of himself, but there are moments where Mechagodzilla is shown as a villain since Godzilla and Rodan just want to protect their egg at any cost from the humans. The kaiju battles in this film are superb, I love each one of them and the film itself is a bit silly at times but towards the end comes back to its darker roots shown at the beginning of the Heisei era.

It was quite hard to get my hands on the original Japanese version of this film! I refused to watch the terrible English dub which felt wrong to even watch the film with it.
