this movie was like watching a series of tim robinson skits or smiling friends skits put into a live action movie that paul rudd got sucked into, it was hectic and chaotic and uniquely funny, not your typical type of movie humor and for that I applaud it

this movie offers you rose colored glasses to see the world through for a while after you watch it. Reminds you that life’s simple, mundane moments are such a gift and immeasurably rare and thus truly special. Instills in you a desire to go throughout your day recognizing and taking stock of the splendor of your everyday life moments — the big and small. Tim’s  resolve to stop traveling back in time completely to instead live each day like it is the first and last time he’ll ever experience it translates so directly to how we can and should strive to live — filled with appreciation; overflowing with gratitude at the mere preciousness of this fleeting little existence. 

Thank you, this was art that affected me.

There’s one super iconic scene in it where JK Simmons is arguing, and he whips out his hog and has this insane rebuttal where he says if you want my come back, you’re gonna have to scrape it off your mother’s teeth which was undoubtedly the best scene of the movie and one of the best roasts I’ve heard in a very long time, but besides that I was fighting falling asleep in this (seepy boy).

the score in this film is very complimentary to the stunning deep colors and cinematography that allow you to fully digest the beautiful old significant religious settings, traditions, and themes highlighted. 

This movie did a great job of capturing the innately human behavior of corruption and greed contrasting with love and altruism and spiritual warfare that takes place not just in the church but everyday in our daily thoughts and actions. Ralph Fiennes was incredibly believable as always, phenomenal italian from the guy. What a performer

silly flick with goofy try hard dialogue and random scenes that felt pointless

i enjoyed some of the unique cuts and usages of heavy haze and blur to highlight the emotions and focus on certain things but overall it was a pretty slow watch. really gruesome vivid detail around the drug usage that felt like overkill for the majority of the film. solid view into the world of addiction though, should be used as drug birth control in rehab centers

painstakingly emotional cinema. profoundly moving monologues by the young actor Milo Machado Graner who plays daniel. Made me sob on an airplane. Recommend to anyone who wants to cry and feel

solid social commentary on unreasonable beauty standards and how the parts of you you hate will consume you if you let it, but man that was grotesque and i’ll never watch it again.

didn’t feel like a movie at all as it was so incredibly organic and authentic and relatable. the push and pull between two people gripping for stability and peace and satiation as humans and competitors and lovers and parents and partners. What a masterful depiction of a partnership for one, and one of such courage and strength and heart wrenching love and how it can conquer the most dire of life’s circumstances. I felt so much of myself in Andrew Garfield’s character Tobias— the raw openness he has for his love is something I strive for, we all should strive for. He bares his feelings so authentically and transparently that there’s never any confusion or miscommunication about how he is feeling, and he’s so intentional in his communication to provide a space for his partner to do the same. She was the spark, he was the fan. A phenomenal partnership the two are. Truly one of a kind, like the film and performances themselves. Lovely.

Unbelievable craft from hugh jackman. raw, cutting, deep pain felt in his tears and lip twitches as he loses his entire world in a faith shaking tormenting maze of confusion and loss and deception. He neglects and almost loses the very family he yearns to protect as he goes to any means necessary to find and save his little girl. Powerful and haunting imagery.

Also thought it could’ve been 20-30 minutes shorter, some parts seemed to drone on, pretty lengthy. 

overall banger, and more directorial gold from Dennis villenevue or however you spell his name.

this is what cinema is all a fucking bout. Shot me straight back to the confusing, terrifying unknown yet wide eyed existence of being a high school boy. Yearning for meaning, refinement of my pallet, but with seemingly no means of grasping onto it for myself. To have a mentor, a leader, a muse-giver like Mr Keating is to be given life itself. To inherit the world through his teachings if you’ll let him. This certainly isn’t a picture for viewing pleasure. It’s a reset for your soul, if you’ll allow it. It’s a lecture, a profound competition between conformity and free thought. Thank you robin williams

bangin flick, holds up to this day. Keanu and Patrick are such a fun interplay, clearly representing the duality of man yet underscoring how similar they both really are. Two intellects, great minds, athletic talents, and ferociously hungry and driven men using their abilities on opposite ends of the tracks. Is one really a higher moral ground than the other?

wow this is panic: the movie! so anxiety inducing at every stage. Masterful. I just learned basically no one read a script except robert pattinson and we’re instead just told to react to eachother. Incredible.

dyke kristen stewwy was very believable and organic for her. This flick kept me anxious and engaged the entire time as i sipped whole milk and dunked my mom’s fresh baked cookies into it.

That feeling you get when you try to sprint in a nightmare, but you can’t. You’re stuck, tredding in place, and feel as though gravity is holding you like tar, pulling you motionless; prisoner in a cell. The key to freedom is to very simply carry out an action you learned to do before you spoke your first word: move your legs. But you can’t.

This film watches in its entirety like the crusted spaghetti stains on the corners of keoghan’s mouth as he spits out words and metaphors that feel more meticulous than what you’d think his character is capable of. But then again, he plays god in this movie so what isn’t he capable of? His performance and the cinematography make for an experience  to be described as nothing less than unnerving. And yet so captivating. Kidman’s performance is gripping. Collin’s felt right on brand, thoroughly encapsulating the character in a way he continuously does that makes you forget you’re watching a performance at all, and entrances you in his world; one that he creates and calls the shots in, with every word spoken, story told, movement made. 

Also, Barry’s tearing families apart again? There’s a saltburn bathtub nut water drinking multiverse connection somewhere in here…
