Went into this film blind since I'm on vacation with Tai in Hudson, NY and this just happened to be playing at the perfect time in an art-house theater in town. Recognized Charles Burnett's name and got a ticket.
It might be the most insane rom-com in the history of cinema. I mean that both literally and in the best way possible. Great performances, charming characters, funny moments, memorable visuals and a lot of quotable lines. How weird it gets might turn some audience off but I would watch it again.

"I'm sorry that I said you had no friends. Like, really loud... In front of all your friends."

One of those movies that make me realize I'm a sicko since I know I'm gonna rewatch it cause it's so good, but I also know I'm gonna challenge myself to try not to blink during the crazy parts.

Am I a masochist? Idk... We'll see. I might know by the third time I watch it.
