There are so many sequences and scenes that make this a great movie, the multi-generational dance sequence, the Thing-garlic sequence, the Irish musical number, the final "desert" sequence and the fact that the first hour of the film is this beautiful and tragic story of a community on the edge of a white dominated society. The film screams "choices have been made" with each layer building up this picture greater than the sum of its parts.
