On one hand, there are some great horror set pieces and freaky imagery—particularly with the creepy little boy—that are very effective and wince inducing.  Those moments alone if you cut and pasted them together would make neat little experimental shorts.   And from an acting standpoint there is some good here.

Yet there’s not always a cohesive thread that really allows those moments to connect with the narrative in any meaningful way.  But also I don’t think the narrative even…
