"How am I supposed to heal if I can't feel time?"

This is my third viewing now, and, just as before, I watched in awe and was left astonished. Just like like Leonard, I forget, and need to rewatch to remind myself of its brilliance. Not only does it hold endless amounts of complexity (having more to take in on each watch), but it is also an incredible portrayal of loss, grief, and the importance of memory. As a whole,…

"You keep dancing with the devil... one day he's gonna follow you home."

After a considerably long wait for cinema to really kick off this year, and just as we were nearing starvation from original ideas, Ryan Coogler fed is well with Sinners; and I mean fed us WELL. You have no idea how thankful I am to at last be saying those words. Earning an immediate place as number one in my 2025 ranked listing, Sinners is a new,…

Ok so Chris O'Dowd was the only one who got the memo here... the only good character and he fucking explodes...
I was actually suprised by the average rating on here, I didn't think it was THAT bad. In comparison to the rest of the trilogy (which is a unusual trilogy as each film is almost a completely different genre) it is considerably weaker in performances, storyline, and level of horror or thrill. It is clearly the most sci-fi of…

1st person perspectives, dark AND extremely claustrophobic spaces, and unpredictable jumpscares... It is undoubtedly scary approved by me. As Above, So Below ticks every box in the list of the distinguishable features of a found footage film, as well as contributing its own originality to the genre, with its exploration of history and religion.

I'm convinced this film would've been good if not for the unsettling teacher x student relationship. However, I saw someone make a point that the directors intention with the relationship could've been to show that the "crime" people despised the teacher for was not his attraction towards a student but a man, so now I'm questioning my opinion towards this film. That theory will never be confirmed though, and this film is also unfortunately covered in flaws that stop it…

This, by far, is the weirdest thing I've ever got to watch at the cinema. It tried to be deep and thought-provoking at times, and I understood the messages, but I just couldn't take it seriously as it's literally screen recorded straight from GTA Online and was very clearly scripted. Most of the film was comedic and enjoyable though, and the plot was certainly unique. It basically felt like watching a YouTube video on a big screen.
