And it is nothing short of a success story.

As an Aussie, this feels like a special report on 60 minutes that you'd watch on a Sunday night.

And something about it is so surreal.

Lake Mungo wanders into a territory that most audiences would never predict. There is something so alluring about Anderson's production and the same night after experiencing, I felt that it took me forever to fall asleep.

Actual proof of how some films do not NEED to be a comedy.

Some really strange choices here in both writing and story. and that is not GOOD strange!

Anyway, it has some fun set pieces and moments. Characters are varied in fun to dreadful. The gore is appreciated but also a bit messily captured which makes for frustrating shock / suspense.

I will never NOT watch these films, but this is definitely one of the weakest.
