Mr. Bean is such a delightful man, though he did seem to find himself in quite a bit of trouble. I think traveling is much easier when one packs a proper itinerary.

A comfort comedy from a long forgotten era of cinema before the blockbuster dominated every corner of the industry. It’s strange — if a film like this (filled with its cheesy resolutions and generic plot) were released now it’d be far less satisfying. There’s something so earnest about these endeavours; the characters do genuinely learn and grow and make me laugh. It’s not just for the sake of appealing to some algorithm. Dear God, I miss when comedy duos ruled the box office.
A Minecraft…Movie?
• Not stupid enough for me to fully embrace the stupidity. For a film adapted from a game all about creativity, I was expecting much crazier ideas, especially with how bombastic the trailer was making it look.
• I never played enough Minecraft to really get all the references.
•Would’ve honestly preferred this film if it was all about Jennifer Coolidge and the villager love story.

Inspired by now Oscar winner Mikey Madison and reminded that being a great actor doesn’t necessarily mean you’re going to be the highlight of every work you appear in. As long as you consistently bring your all — much like Madison — the work will find you.
This is great, and it only took me 3 years and a rewatch to realise that. I don’t know what it is about the first time I watched it that made me almost instantly log out.
