finally watched the whole thing for its 60s anniversary! a wonderful piece of mid-60s art, brightly colored, fast paced, both humorous and thoughtful. seeing something jim henson did without any puppets in it just makes me appreciate his art even more - sure, i adore the muppets, but even without them you can see his creative genius shining brightly from his work.
more fun than i ! this is still probably my least favorite of the first three muppet movies, but the first two are just such a high bar it's hard to match that.
the worst part of this movie is the fact that the muppets all break up and sing this super sad song and then all leave each other and then they don't come back until the end, and it's like noooo i want them to be here! fozzieβ¦
