This film is trying so hard to have nuanced conversations about stepparent abuse and gender identity but it's just getting so high on its own supply that I'm like 🙄 because surprise, surprise, bombarding the audience with goofy cough syrup dialogue and *weird* imagery isn't a nuanced conversation!
